INTRODUCTION

3

A Hyperloop would be "an elevated, reduced-pressure tube that contains pressurized capsules driven within the tube by a number of linear electric motors.

Hyperloop (Freight Transportation) is a new mode of transport that seeks to change this pattern by being both fast and inexpensive for people and goods.

OVERVIEW .

4

The general idea of trains or other transportation traveling through evacuated tubes dates back more than a century, although the atmospheric railway was never a commercial success.

Elon Musk first mentioned that he was thinking about a concept for a "fifth mode of transport", calling it the Hyperloop, in July 2012 at a PandoDaily event in Santa Monica, California

1. CAPSULE

6

  • HyperloopTT has developed a new fuselage skin called Vibranium™. Built with carbon-fiber and embedded sensors

HYPERLOOP TRANSPORT SYSTEM.

The capacity of a pod is recommended to be 20-50 . Based on aircraft design guidelines, a pod diameter around 3 m is recommended to fit three seats abreast, including an aisle. This includes 0.2 m for structural components including isolation.

2.TUBE

11

  • Steel or fibre-reinforced polymers.
  • Thickness should be 25 mm.
  • Diameter becomes 3.5 m.
  • The distance between pillars is about 100 ft.

.

  • Thermal expansion
  • Vaccum

3.PROPULSION

12

Linear accelerators are constructed along the length of the tube at various locations to accelerate the capsules.

  • Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM).
  • Linear Induction Motor (LIM)
