Promotion of building a “comprehensive support model”

LFA is promoting the development of a “comprehensive support model” for children in need.

In order to facilitate the environment for connection, learning, and nurturing, we have set up multiple Learning Support bases and Comfortable Place Support bases in local areas. As we cooperate and work together with the various stakeholders in the area, we find ways to connect with the children, and provide support that is suited to each child.

Comprehensive support for children in need

Our goal is to build a society where all children have an opportunity to develop their own way of life toward their dream and happiness with freedom and flexibility.

To achieve these targets, it is necessary to establish according factors within the community and provide appropriate support to children who suffer from difficulties; (1) connection, (2) learning environment, and (3) environment where children can nurture. To create such ideal society, we establish the comprehensive support model and expand it nationwide.

①Connection

Meet and form a “connection” with children by working together with local schools and local people such as social workers.

Meet and form a “connection” with children in places open to community, such as Children’s Cafeteria.

With this, we build a “network of adults in the community” to support children in need.

②Learning environment

Provide “Learning Support” suited to each individual’s way of learning.

③Environment for nurturing

Provide “Comfortable Place Support” where children can acquire proper lifestyle habits and playing experience.

Respect the voices of parents and provide "Parents Support" to form connections with appropriate systems and resources when they encounter difficulties

Comprehensive support modelRoadmap to country-wide expansion

Currently, we are preparing and building a comprehensive support model through on-site operations in unique multiple regions. At the same time, with a view to introducing it to other areas, we are developing an introduction support content and follow-up system.

By 2021, we will complete our model and promote its introduction to other areas.

Our ultimate target is for our model to be incorporated into the Japanese legal system.
