Collection, processing and transfer of biospecimens are performed in compliance with current national and international laws and regulations
Ethics
Biospecimens are collected and transferred to the biobank only after patients have been informed of their rights and intended use of biospecimens and have signed informed consent form
Transparency
The origin of biological material can always be traced back to a clinical center. Though patient's personal information is protected and never disclosed to company’s customers
Quality
Laboratory Azatyan follows ISBER Best Practices and requirements of ISO 9001. All biospecimens are processed following standard laboratory protocols and clinical information management practices

Laboratory process monitoring and quality control procedures
Processing of various biofluids – blood, urine, saliva, synovial fluid, ascitic fluids, etc.
Isolating fractions and derivatives from various biospecimens used in scientific research; aliquoting, labelling and quality control.
Personnel of Azatyan laboratories involved in biospecimen processing and characterization undergo regular and extensive training. Together with quality control procedures, it ensures high quality and consistency of the services provided.
Genetic characterization of biospecimens for various mutations
using PCR- and NGS-based methods in licensed clinical centers
Storage of biospecimen
storage conditions depend on biospecimen type. We guarantee that samples are stored at the appropriate temperature (from ambient to -70°С and liquid nitrogen). Refrigerators used for deep-freezing are constantly monitored, i.e., the temperature is always under control and registered.

Laboratory Azatyan designs and produces harmonized and customized tissue microarrays (ТМА) made of human and primate biospecimens. Harmonized TMAs comply with requirements of FDA and ЕМА.
