PBIS TRIANGLE

What is PBIS all about?

PBIS is a way for a school to join together in recognizing students who do the right thing by having positive behavior and doing their best in the classroom. For students who may be having difficulty with these expectations, PBIS offers a reason for them to make improvements, supports them during this process and also help them make permanent changes in their behaviors that can follow them well into adulthood.

Why do we need PBIS?

Children need to be recognized for the things they do right! When a child misbehaves or breaks school rules, especially when these actions result in time out of the classroom for consequences. It means the student has missed something improtant academically! PBIS supports improving behaviors that impact a child’s academic success!
