Smooth sailing? Nah.

There were some development hurdles. But that’s a given for every tech project.

  • Lack of TypeScript typings for OOUI
    • Used JSDuck instead of JSDoc (phab:T185396)
    • No official TypeScript declaration files (phab:T263914)
  • Codex wasn’t as mature
    • v0.1.0 came out only after the project started
    • Codex support for userscripts is still being worked on (phab:T313945)
  • Interference from the real world
    • Graduation, and moving to the city

  • Many editors appreciated the UI/UX design
  • Deputy is sometimes buggy
  • All respondents were English Wikipedia users; no respondents indicated a wish to have Deputy in other languages
