  • Later competed in Germany’s 2. Bundesliga before joining the University of Minnesota, where he played for the Gophers from 2007-11.

Why I Play Pine Tree

  • This is my 11th year playing Pine Tree, and it’s one of the most meaningful traditions in my life. I play because the cause hits close to home—supporting kids and families impacted by cancer is something I’ll always show up for. What makes this tournament so special isn’t just the mission, though—it’s the community. Every year, players, volunteers, and supporters come together to create something bigger than tennis. There’s incredible energy, purpose, and heart behind the weekend, and I’m honored to be a small part of it.
