Excited

possibilities!

2 of 13

Why is it important to be involved at the middle school level?

According to research by the US Dept of Education: Active involvement by parents outweighs and offsets some other factors that may affect student success.

  • Get to know teachers - not just one. Be proactive!
  • Read all info on school policies, curriculum and communications carefully - There is LOTS of information sent out via Parent Square. The Website is a source of information too.
  • Keep informed about your student’s grades and test results. (ParentVue)
  • Get to know other parents.
  • Volunteer on campus and/or with PTSA.

  1. You don’t have the time. You do, you really do!
  2. Your kids don’t need you to be involved at school. They do, they really do!
  3. There is no need for you to be at school to help. There is, there really is!
