Introduction

This template is set up to yield a 34x22” horizontal poster.

The headings are those usually seen in posters. Any element of this template (background color, font, layouts, etc.) can be changed to fit your needs in format-drop down menu.

The boxes around the text will automatically fit the text you type, and you can use the handles that appear to adjust the text boxes to whatever size you want.

Use the Introduction to provide context or background for your work. Briefly state your research question and/or project objectives clearly. Why is the work important or needed? Why am I doing it and what do I hope to add to the conversation? What is the relationship of your study to other published work?

Results

Briefly describe how your results were created. How did you do the work? Bullets, flow charts or a picture can be helpful.

In general, it is best to import TIFF or JPEG images into PowerPoint. Use the handles in the image place holder boxes to adjust the size, shape, or layout to suit your needs. Copy and paste, or delete boxes to suit your needs.

CHART or PICTURE

What did you find? Often the results rely on images: photographs, graphs, designs, tables, and drawings. Keep all clean and simple. Use figure (or table) captions as opportunities to summarize your results. If you have an interesting result, explicitly state it in the caption. Make the strongest statements your data will support.

State and interpret what you found. What does it all mean? Do the results support your conclusions, and what do you recommend? Simple text or bullets can be helpful. A model can be helpful too.
