Final Presentation

  • You will work with another person (or persons) to prepare and perform a reader’s theater script.
  • The purpose of this activity is to showcase your reading fluency skills.
  • To prepare, you will need to practice your script MULTIPLE times.
  • Presentations will take place on December 7th.
  • This is for a MAJOR grade of 100 points in this class.

Requirements

  • Meet with your group to practice.
    • You will meet with your partner(s) DURING CLASS on Nov. 14 and Nov. 28.
  • Visit with a tutor from the ACE center for feedback.
    • You can meet on Nov. 21 or Nov. 28 during class time, but YOU are responsible for making an appointment.
  • Be familiar with the content of your script.
    • You don’t have to memorize your script; you can read, but you need to look up and make eye contact with your audience.
    • Make sure you know how to pronounce all of the words in your script.
  • Use proper intonation and volume.
    • Sound like you are talking! Your voice should move up and down.

  • You will be graded on the following:
    • Display of reading fluency skills
    • Preparation
    • Proper intonation, volume, and pronunciation
    • Familiarity with script
