WHY? (The reasons that make it necessary…
- To overcome the socio-economic crisis affecting European countries, fighting against rising levels of unemployment, specially among young people.
- To provide young people with the skills required by the labour market and a competitive economy by means of training and well-performing education, narrowing the gap between theory and practice.
- To empower young people to participate actively in democratic life in Europe, enhancing their skills and competences through non-formal learning activities

WHY? (…and the reasons which students, working tutors and teachers guess)
- (Student) In my working place, all the people make me to feel like if I were at home. If they speak English or not is not really important, because they talk to me between peers and most of the time make a big effort to be understood. Moreover, they are always teaching me and I can assure you that I am learning a lot!
- (Student) On the one hand, what I like the most is to know people who, speaking other language and having different customs and traditions, are more related to me that I though beforehand. On the other hand, I wish the internship was longer.
- (Student) Without a shadow of a doubt, I’d recommend the experience to any student, without considering their professional field. Polish are very friendly and I am deeply glad of having had the opportunity of living this experience abroad.
- (Working tutor) Polish apprentices are really well-prepared and highly motivated, what makes my labour much easier.
(Working tutor) I am impressed by how fast they adapt to a new work environment. It seems as if they had been working here for years!

WHY? (…and the reasons which students, working tutors and teachers guess)
- (Headmaster) Every year, more and more VET students insist on doing their practical period in Poland. Apart of the fact of considering as very positive for their curriculum, the students who have already been there, encourage them to live by their own. I consider that this fact is absolutely invaluable, notably if we take into account the huge economical difficulties of the region in which we live. Unfortunately, we can’t deal with all the applications because of the lack of grants.
- (Teacher) To be sincere, I thought students wouldn’t be interested in developing their internship abroad, because most of them had showed their wish of doing it as close the place where they live as they could. I must say I am deeply surprised because of their change of minds. It was unexpected and, at the same time, marvelous to have been able to take part in the project. Furthermore, I only have words of gratitude to our partner, which has taken care our students going beyond what their responsibilities were.
