Important Consideration

​

• All cadets enrolled in this course are REQUIRED to wear the Air Force JROTC service uniform and the issued fitness uniform at least one day each week. 
• Uniform wear requires appropriate haircuts/shave for males and appropriate hairstyles for females.
• Students must also be willing to actively participate in one physical training (workout) session per week. 
• If the class fills to capacity, there will be a waitlist and students will be put in their alternate choice �

Foundational Course: Principles of Biomedical Science

• Foundational skills in biology, anatomy, genetics, physiology, etc.
• Students will apply content to solve medical mystery cases, diagnose patients, or respond to medical outbreaks through simulated records and 3D animations

​

Who should take:

• Those who want to go into the medical or biomedical engineering field
• Those who like using critical thinking, problem solving, and communication to investigate topics such as human medicine, genetics, microbiology and public health

​

Business & Administration Services Pathway

Foundational Course: Fundamentals of Business and Administrative Services (Full year-1 credit)

• Foundational skills in general management, HR, office management
• Students will gain knowledge in business relationships, business operations, and financial principles

Who should take:

• Those who want to learn more about business career field
• Those who want first hand experience in the business field
• Those who want to network with local business men and women
• Those who are interested in the business field: management, marketing, accounting, finance, etc.

Cybersecurity

Foundational Course:

• Learn components of cybersecurity and how to detect, prevent and solve problems of cyber attacks

• Discover and use security safeguards for desktop and network devices.

Engineering Technologies- PLTW

Foundational Course:Intro to Engineering (½ credit) and Intro to Engineering Design B (½ credit)

• Introduces the engineering design process, applying math, science, and engineering standards to identify and design solutions to a variety of real problems
• Topics include work-processes, optimization methods, design optimization, and risk management tools.
• Use 2D and3D modeling software

Alternate Course Selections

• It is IMPORTANT for you to list alternate courses on your scheduling sheet. Your counselor needs this if there is a conflict in your requested classes!

• Pick your courses wisely by reading the course descriptions in the Program of Studies.

​

• Make sure you know what the course is about and that you are able to manage the course levels you choose along with your other responsibilities.

​

• Courses chosen during the scheduling process in the spring are treated as final selections.

​

• Schedule changes will only be made if there is a scheduling process error or a failure to meet a prerequisite for a course.
