We acknowledge that the land on which our institution was established is situated within yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini Northern Chumash homelands. The yak titʸu titʸu people are indigenous to the San Luis Obispo region. We honor the indigenous peoples’ connection to these territories and respect the land our institution lies today.

What is Hack4Impact?
International 501(c)(3) organization focused on using software as a tool for social good. Right now there are ~16 chapters with over 1000 members!
Each year our chapter partners with ~10 local nonprofits to build software that solve their pain points. By improving their workflows, they can focus more on their mission!
Mission Statement
We are a student organization that empowers engineers, designers, activists, and humanitarians to create lasting and impactful social change. We foster the wider adoption of software as a tool for social good.

2016 - @dhruv founded Hack4Impact at UPenn
2018 - Hack4Impact Cal Poly is born. Thanks @jules, @eric, and @ivonne
2018 - first full year; around 12-20 members, 1 nonprofit project

2022 - 9 nonprofit partners, ~100 members
- returning projects & co-TLs are introduced
- won a community service award and featured on Mustang News 🤭
