There are several learning plan templates that correspond to the level and course that students are enrolled.

EXAMPLES

• Review NASW Code of Ethics in supervision once per month

• Read agency’s policy and procedures manual within the first 30 days.

• Wear ID badge daily

• Identify and process an ethical dilemma in supervision and write a process recording by November.

• Dress in business casual attire daily

• Be mindful of boundaries with clients by shaking hands instead of hugs.

FINAL THOUGHTS

• Students are primarily responsible for writing the learning plan in conjunction with the field instructor.

• Learning plans are living documents that

students should continually edit and revise

over the course of the semester.

• Students and field instructors should

consult with the field liaison if there are any

questions about the learning plan.
