Goal: Gamify an interactive United States map to make the information about how international relationships help state economies interesting to the public.

Intended Use
If successful, this project may be incorporated into the Smithsonian exhibit within the Center in 2019, with opportunity to be included in permanent exhibit. This also may live online on the Center’s website as an educational resource, or used on State.gov’s website. Material will be updated periodically. The project should entice domestic visitors to learn about how international relationships impact their life at home.
Target audience is high school and university students

We want to go beyond the core function of creating an interactive U.S. map to make this exploration a fun or even social experience. Because this is a more straightforward project and one that can be of immediate use to the Diplomacy Center, we also want to get as close as possible to a finished, attractive product as possible. Some options include comparing “correct answer” results, social media/email embeds, highlighting different states based on categories, and tracking question answers
