  • Creating an urban cycling hub facility in the St Albans area will provide a safe, off-road traffic-free environment for young children, youths and adults to learn to ride and develop their skills, a training facility for local cycle and triathlon clubs, a location for cyclocross races to be held and a focal point for the cycling community of all standards to meet and ride.

​

  • Opportunity - with the proposed development of the Marlborough Club community centre, including the development of a café and a community hall, there is an opportunity to provide a local community cycling hub that will bring additional significant footfall and demand to the community centre’s facilities, ensuring it’s long-term financial sustainability.
