Flipping Forward Fact #1
What exactly is a flipped classroom?
A flipped classroom consists of short video lessons, provided by the teacher, that are viewed at home. Flipping allows in-class time to be devoted to exercises, projects, or discussions.

You will leave with the knowledge, tools and confidence to begin your flip!
app for students to create their own portfolios at school
students independently document photos, videos, and more = “items”
students may add captions and drawings to their items
How do my students get logged in?
QR Class Code
Text Class Code
Click in the top left corner, then
How will I know that my students are responsible with what they post?
the teacher will be notified when a student uploads a new item or comment
items are not viewable to anyone else until the teacher approves them
click to approve or to disapprove the item
Who is this “anyone else” you speak of?
teacher may allow students to view, comment, and/or like peers’ work
How does this get any better??
teacher may allow parent access to their student’s journal
the parent will be able to view and comment on ONLY their student’s items
parents will need to download Seesaw Parent Access app
This is all great… but how does it help me flip?
Teachers can add, like, and comment on items, too!!
teachers may add photos, videos, links, notes, drawings, or file (if on computer)
teachers may share items with some or all students and place in “folders”
teachers may edit all items and folders once uploaded!
