This is your opportunity to honor a STEM role model in your workplace or community! The 2025 nomination form is now available!

The NJSPN leads will review the nominees and select the finalists. Twelve role models will be chosen.

Phase 3: Honoring the Winners

Each month, a finalist will be announced and featured on our website.

The selected Role Models represent people of color, LGBTQ+ community members, people with disabilities and women who work in a STEM field here in New Jersey.

Emerging Ecosystems Grant

*2025 application will launch in February*

About the Grant:

  • The NJSPN seeks to support current ecosystems and up to three new ecosystems with between $10,000-$50,000
  • Competitive applicants will demonstrate the resources and design to engage with local and regional partners in education, business and industry, and STEM professions to create viable and sustainable STEM opportunities within their ecosystems.

Funds Can Support:

  • Development of leadership team
  • Creation of a ecosystem sustainability plan
  • Support of STEM programs
  • Maintaining overall ecosystem operations
  • Engagement with local and regional STEM partners
  • Measurement of STEM programs

This year, the NJSPN is awarding a total of $197,500 in grants to the following innovative ecosystems:

  • JerseyShore - $50,000
  • Delran - $31,000
  • Green STREAM - $27,250
  • HSMC - $27,250
  • Liberty - $7,500
  • Newark - $27,250
  • SJSIP - $27,250

An annual event in March dating back to 2018 impacting over 100,000 learners to date, NJ STEM Month is a celebration co-hosted by the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network (NJSPN) and Research & Development Council of New Jersey (R&D Council of NJ).

NJ STEM Month highlights the Garden State’s incredible accomplishments in science, technology, engineering, math and innovation.
