What’s so great about Onshape?

  • Free for education (models can never be used commercially)
  • Powerful software that is used in industry
  • Cloud Based
  • Works on PC, Mac, Chromebook, Ipad
  • Export models for 3d printing
  • Included curriculum
  • Public library of parts
  • Low learning curve

Why I prefer Onshape over Fusion 360

  • Autodesk has a history of removing products from their lineup and making them obsolete
  • Though it is cloud based, it still requires a mid end PC to operate
  • You must download the software on each device you plan on using
  • Some of the features require ‘cloud credits’ which you may have to purchase
