Parental involvement

[Before the session]�1. Get in touch with the Parent or Guardian and explain about your product

2. Explain to them about your research activity it would take to conduct the session.

  • Discuss about where and how the session would take place and duration (30-40 mins) of session it would take.
  • Get Parental consent form signed
  • Inform about the NDA to be signed to protect sensitive data.

[During the session] � Brief parents in terms of the level of engagement you expect from them.

Interaction with the child

  1. Introduce yourself (Lead)
  2. Build rapport with the child by asking a few questions about them, school, friends, favorite toys, activities etc. Kids enjoy talking about themselves and their interests.
  3. Add Ice-breaker activities
  4. Explain that you need their help in making robots fun for kids, and ask them basic questions, like "What's your favorite book?" and "What TV shows do you like?" etc.
