You are being asked to take three actions tonight.

• Action 1: Resolution to Approve Apple Lease Purchase Agreement and MacBook Air purchases with Sole Source Notification
• Action 2: Approve Apple iPad and MacBook Air purchases with Sole Source Notification
• Action 3: Approve Apple blanket order of miscellaneous Apple products with Sole Source Notification

• Apple quote: $1,116,621 - four annual purchase payments @ $279,155.25 each
• Budgeted $288,651 annually (for 1,195 computers in 2015)

Action Item 1

Resolution for Lease Schedule 2 of new Apple MLPA

• Approve notification of this sole source award to Apple Inc. (separate document signed by SB chair to post on website)
• Approve multi-year lease for 1,105 replacement computers– and continuing effort on behalf of Board to fund the lease payments
• Approve Dr. Raley as signer of lease and related documents

Action Item 1

School Board Motion

The School Board does approve the Apple Lease Purchase Resolution as presented to the School Board on April 9, 2019 as a means to purchase 1,105 MacBook computers.

Action Item 1

Apple iPad and MacBook Air purchases

• 50 10-packs iPads @ $3890 per 10-pack (500 ipads, replacing 2016 lease of similar equipment)
• 95 MacBook Airs @ $875 each (supplements lease purchase, replacing 2015 lease of similar equipment)
• Funded with VPSA Grant
• Approve Purchase Order 5677 for $277,625
• Approve notification of this sole source award to Apple Inc. – post on GCPS website through April 20, 2019

Action Item 2

School Board Motion

The School Board does approve the purchase of 500 iPads and 95 MacBook Airs with Purchase Order 5677 and that there is only one source practicably available to provide Apple iPads and computers and that source is Apple, Inc.

Action Item 2

FY2019-20 Apple “blanket order”

• Pricing from Apple for replacement computers, iPads, service parts and other Apple equipment purchases throughout the school year
• Funded through various budget lines in the Technology category of the FY2020 operating and insurance repair budgets
• Approve blanket Purchase Order 5678, not to exceed $87,790.65
• Approve notification of this sole source award to Apple Inc. – post on GCPS website throughout the 2019-20 School Year

School Board Motion

The School Board does approve the purchase of miscellaneous Apple products with blanket Purchase Order 5678 and that there is only one source practicably available to provide Apple finished goods and Apple service parts and that source is Apple, Inc.
