How did you find RnC?
“I ride irl and have been playing MC for around 4 years now and thought why not see if there is a server out that has my two favorite things xD. I searched and found RnC in the middle of a Top Servers list and thought it had a cool ad.”
What is your favorite thing to do on RnC?
“I really like the competitions or here. Whether the competitions are server hosted or player hosted. They are all enjoyable.”

“I bought Bently when I was about 2 weeks into the server when he was just spawned from an RPG egg but the owner didn’t have room to keep him.”
How did you come up with his name?
“He had the name when I purchased him and I decided to keep it, I thought it fit him well.”

“Bently is special to me because he has an amazing coat, he’s my best friend, and he’s my best horse <3”

What were some complications you ran into during the build?
The original sculpting of the land took forever. Coming up with the design of the arena and what games could be played was definitely a complication. Another thing is the redstone needed for the combination lock that requires four people to open. FlintyRaccoon helped me with the wiring of the redstone.� �Anyone can request to start a Gauntlet run. Things to remember: You need 4 people per team recommended and an elytra.

When is 3.0 coming out?
Don’t worry! We’re just as excited as you for it. There is still no specific release date, but we can tell you that it definitely won’t be too much longer! Y’all have been waiting so long, thank you for being patient and understanding. Maruf is working hard!
How do I find out what an item is worth?
It’s all about experience. Over time on the server, you’ll start to notice the average prices for certain horses and items. Another way to figure that out is to check on /ah (auction house.) You can see the prices listed and possibly find your item there.
When will my donation store purchase come through?
Sometimes there is a delay between the purchase of an item, and the delivery. Kind of like shipping lol. If you buy something small like a rank or a title, it will likely come quicker than if you were to buy a breeders kit. Ranks and titles only require permissions to be sent through, whereas the kits have to deliver items. You can always contact staff about something if you’re worried that it might not come through on the support chat!

Happy Birthday Tyshow!
On September 25, we celebrated the birthday of Tyshow! We thank you, Ty, for everything you have done for RnC. Without you, none of this would have happened. Ranch N Craft wouldn’t be a server. The RnC Newspaper wouldn’t be a thing, and I wouldn’t be typing this right now. Most people on RnC wouldn’t have met, and we would not have made many good memories. We would not be spending countless hours playing Minecraft while we could be doing other things. Ty, happy birthday, I sincerely hope it was one to remember. We love you, Ty!

Rule Clarifications
No 1x1 Towers
The reason 1x1 towers are not allowed is that they make the world look sloppy. We want the RnC community to have a nice looking world. This is a serious rule so if you don’t follow it you will be punished.
10 Items on /ah at once
This is another important rule because we don’t want /ah to be entirely filled up with just one player’s stuff. We know that you want to sell a lot of stuff you don’t need for money, but if no one buys it just take it off and put something else on it, or just wait until it expires and add more items.

How many pets do you have, and what types of animals are they?
I have three dogs. One is a Golden Retriever named Rumor, another is a Cockerspaniel Poodle mix named Snoop Dog (yes, snoop dog), and the last one is a teacup Chihuahua named Mouse.
What is one special/quirky thing they do?
Rumor sleeps and begs for food all day, Snoop barks at the TV every 5 minutes, and Mouse thinks she is a big guard dog.
About when did you get them and how old are they, if you know?
I got Rumor 10 and a half years ago and she is 11 years old. I got Snoop maybe 4 months ago (?) and he is 1 year old, and Mouse... I got her 2 months ago (ish) and she is around 3 years old.

Breed of the Week
This week the spotlight shines upon the Lipizzaner! This beautiful, well-known horse is most commonly related to dressage, especially the type that is performed in the fancy riding halls of the Riding School of Vienna. Additionally, these horses were once (and sometimes still) used for pulling carts, and other utility work. Historically, these horses have many interesting facts relating to them. In the years of WWII these horses, along with many purebred Arabian horses, were gathered up and sent to a farm. At this farm, they were bred to create "the perfect horse." However, in doing this they corrupted many strains of purebred Lipizzaner horses from many different places in the world, and now there is a considerably smaller amount of variation in the breed. An interesting fact on this horse is that all foals are born brown/dark bay and most will grow into a gray, although some horses stay brown all through their life. These horses are considered lucky and are often used to lead a team when doing team routines.
Famous Horse
This week’s famous horse will actually include two horses this time. Two famous horses who helped make the Lipizzaner what it is today, and spread the breed’s popularity, will be the subjects. Pluto and Neapolitano Africa are both very important horses (if you’ve read The Perfect Horse you will likely recognize this). These horses are important due to the influence they had once brought to America. At one point, these horses had to be moved from place to place to avoid being bombed during WWII, near the end of the war the American army performed Operation Cowboy to rescue about 1,200 horses, 375 of which were Lipizzaners. Once in America after the rescue, Pluto led the show to prove the worth of the breed.

Everything we say or do on the internet... stays there. It doesn't matter how hard you work to protect yourself and how smart the app on your smart phone thinks it is. Everything you write down, everything you post online, and everything that is able to be seen, can be used against you, in or out of a court of law. You all have access to cell phones, computers, and a pen and paper. And it can be used against you (or for you, if you are smarter than your phone). You all know in a moments notice, you can have your phone out and be taking pictures of just about anything, good or bad. Then you just can't keep it on your phone, you have to share it with your friends, and they share it with their friends and before you know it the picture or video has gone viral.
There was an app out, that was the cat's meow. You took a picture and sent it to someone, less than a minute later, the picture fades away into oblivion. It was the perfect app. Your risky pictures were gone and no one could prove you ever sent one...or could they? Anyone of you who play Ranch N Craft should know the answer to that. SCREENSHOT!!!! In milliseconds a copy is made and now it is free to roam the internet again...
Let me show you just how fast that can actually happen. Your friend takes a picture of you that should never have been taken (it was just for fun and she promised to erase it). And the next day you have a wicked fight. Sound familiar? In a fit of rage, she sends that picture to 3 of her friends, after telling them about your fight, of course. So now 4 people have that "private" picture. So each of your "second generation" friends send the picture to 3 of their friends (9) and they send it to 3 of theirs (27) and they send it to 3 of theirs (81). They send it to 3 friends of theirs (243) and there are now a whopping 364 people that have your personal pictures in 25 minutes. And in the next 25 minutes, the number could be staggering, and any good reputation you had could be lost forever. Say goodbye to the national honor society, and to your spot in the Model UN, and to that high-profile job that you haven't even realized that you will someday want.

Depending on how bad the picture or video was, your life could be ruined in less than an hour. Employees, on a regular basis, will look up your facebook, twitter and Instagram accounts. They will also google your name. Take a look at them and then try to imagine the type of job you would like to get. Do they clash? Your potential employer could be looking at them... Is this really the image you want to portray?
So let's look at another situation. You are looking at a new saddle, or a new pair of riding boots, or a new computer, and you tell your best friend that you are 200 short. No problem, your friend has 2k in the bank and takes you to an ATM and pulls out the 200 for you. You and your friend do stuff for each other all the time, so you are triple excited to get what you wanted. Your friend says that their mother will be upset if she thinks they just gave you the money, so they have you sign a letter saying they loaned it to you. But you both know you won't ever have to worry about paying it back, it's just for the mother. Three months later, you and your friend have a huge fight over a girl/guy and a month later you are in court, all over the 200 that they say you owe now.... and guess what, they have a signed contract, and you were the one who signed it.
Only you can decide what you put out there, and what you don't. You can't rely on others to make that decision for you.

Donating to the Victims
As you probably know, many people’s homes, valuables, lives, and family are being taken by many disasters like the hurricanes, wildfires, and more. Firstly, we would like to remind you all to keep those and their families in your thoughts. This is an awful time and don’t forget that there are many ways you can donate/help contribute the affected people. Secondly, we know some of our own Rancher’s here have been evacuated or are under warnings for these dangers. For that reason, we understand that when something so tragic is occurring, the last thing people should worry about is losing their things on the server. Therefore, until these disasters have cleared and people are heard to be in recovery, the “unclaim requests” portion of /warp notify will remain closed. We hope you can understand. If someone lost their things from the disasters, the last thing we would want is for them to join the server and would have their places griefed/raided/taken, etc. In light of this, we would like to help to the best of our abilities. From now, until the 16th of October, 100% of purchases on the donation store will be donated to a charity called Oxfam. Following Hurricane Irma, Oxfam and its Caribbean partner organizations are working to ensure the most vulnerable people affected by the disaster have access to clean water, hygiene, and sanitation.
