    • Does anyone need to bring anything from home tomorrow to make it work?
    • You can test how the holes work. You can research other mini-golf holes online, etc.
    • You can CAD your layout, quick scale model prototypes are okay but you shouldn’t start building the real hole yet.

Aka the COOLEST THEME

12 of 22

group 2- our w o n d e r f u l theme

It is dead tree, and fork in the road. We got this idea through an idea generator, because we didn’t want to think. If you look further into it, you can see the comparison between risk and reward (as seen in the short and long way), life and death (dead tree healed), and a whole host of other glorious themes. The storyline of this story is that Ratatoskr has severed the tie betwixt the Ginnungagap and the tree of life, Yggdrasil, and killed it. You, as the mighty hero Ragnar Lothbrüksson, must reconnect them using the mythical orb Freyankå. Can you do it and save the 9 realms? Or are you a yellow bellied coward…….

group 2- our amazing obstacle ideas

so basically there are two routes to heal the tree. there’s the long way and the short way. there’s no easy way. if you choose the long way, you must maneuver through the branch of devil spikes. there’s also a propellor that might help you or it might hurt you. if you choose the short way, you must propel the ball far enough and fast enough to roll over the ramp and jump over another dead tree. both ways take tremendous talent, time, or just plain luck to beat. but if you do beat it, great job, but just as a disclaimer, there’s no prize except helping this fake dead tree survive. :)

Overview

This is a simple outline of how our course will look once completed.

18 of 22

Right Side

The right side starts with a path filled with blocks, leading to a spinning wheel. If you hit the wheel, it knocks you backwards, but if you manage to get around it, you move onto the next obstacle. The next obstacle is an elevator which drops off onto a path with no walls. If you fall off, you get shot back to the very beginning of the course. If you stay on, you continue to the ramp which leads you to the hole.

Left Side

First, the left side is a long straight shot before branching into two paths. The first path is a direct bridge to the end, but you will need to hit the ball up a large ramp to successfully make it. The second is a sort of 2D plinko, where the player must guide the ball towards the end through the pipes sticking up. The player must then hit into one of two correct pipes, one of which will bring the user to the beginning of the plinko and the other will bring them to the end.

The End

The end is a large elevated square shape box with multiple traps. If a user falls into on the the traps they will be shot back to the beginning. In the center, there is a car which will be moving in a radial pattern. Connected to that car as a trailer will be the hole which moves with it.
