September 26-29, 2023
On Wednesday, we will begin Unit 1: Being a Good Community Member. We will retell key details using reasons, illustrations and photographs. We will ask and answer questions to clarify meaning. In writing we will use text evidence to write a description of an event. In Really Great Reading, we will continue working with short and long A vowel phonemes and nonsense words. This week’s heart words: the, of, you, and, to.
In math, we will understand the meaning of the equal sign and use the equal sign to make true number sentences with the sign in different positions.
We will use the commutative property to count on from a larger addend.
