At Harvard, he is pursuing a joint concentration in Computer Science and Government with a secondary in Theatre.

Our Aim

Our aim is to use skill development to allow people to find employment. We hope to lift people out of poverty by helping them develop skills for basic jobs.

Problem Statement

We choose the problem unemployment among both educated and uneducated people because

  • Companies not finding suitable employees
  • The importance of developing skills is not stressed enough
  • Emphasis on theoretical knowledge
  • Importance of skill based learning

63.5% of Indian students reported stress due to pressure on grades, of which 1.5% left school.

Primarily public and government schools students are most affected by this.

An estimated 35% of students have the fear of academic failure.

Skill Based Learning

How to Implement Education Changes:

We should have schemes and schools that provide good education to children living in villages. Also, it should be assured that good and experienced teachers are there to impart education to children.

Schools should be allowed to provide skill based training. It can be done best by recognizing the areas of interest on any student.Skill based training will ensure one thing – self-employment!

Implementation

  • Having buses or vehicles with equipment that travel around villages with holding a class in the morning, afternoon and evening.

  • Courses for driving, using tools for mechanic purposes, typing and basic vocational training.

  • Working with local schools, MLAs, MPs and collaborating with other NGOs and utilizing resources like volunteers.

  • The teaching style will be interactive where active participation will be rewarded.

Solution

  • Driving around vehicles in rural areas with volunteers and equipment for holding classes .
  • Having three classes a day. One in the morning, afternoon and evening.
  • Everyone from children to adults will be able to attend the classes they want (except driving).
  • Raise awareness of social benefits like ayushman card that guarantees free healthcare.

First Steps

  • Due to the backward and remote nature of Haryana, we plan to begin our efforts there with one vehicle.
  • We’re already in contact with the local elected officials and have been received with warmth and eagerness and have been assured full support.
  • We plan to begin our efforts across three villages with the first classes starting in August.
  • Use peer-to-peer encouragement to encourage people to attend our classes.

This program will require heavy funding for the functioning of the traversable educational hubs. We have sent emails requesting for donations from 10+ institutions. Some of which are:
