Draft Class 3-Scouts Outlook

  • Scouts believe there are a few superstars in this draft that could be the face of their franchise for years.
  • There are several other players that scouts talked about that could potentially become all-stars, or secondary players.
  • They’ve also discussed a few players in the lottery that could be out of the league in a few years.
  • Scouts are torn on who the #1 pick should be…it’s about 50/50 between SF Kenyon Markota out of USC and International Star C Jovan Krstic.
  • Positional Outlook PF—Scouts like the depth of the Power Forward class this year even though none are projected to be selected in the lottery.

Playmaking PG that can create his own shots off the dribble, and could penitently develop a reliable 3pt shot. Exceptional ball handling skills. He can finish at the rim and make’s creates for teammates. He’s a good rebounder at the PG position. Great anticipation on the defensive end of the court results in steals and fast break opportunities—very fast in the open court. Needs to improve his outside shot, and become a better overall defender.

Scouts rave about his ball handling skills and his ability to blow by defenders at finish at the rim. He did have the luxury of player next to the player of the year, and top prospect Kenyon Markota which opened some things up for him. Two-Way Guard with limitless range, that is really good at catching-and-shooting. Scouts believe he’s the best mid-range and 3pt shooter in this draft. He does struggle with shots of the dribble. Stokes is also a very good free throw shooter. Stokes is a good on-ball defender that plays the pick-n-roll really well. He is good at making sure to contest shots, however, he doesn’t get many blocks. Not very explosive.

Plays the Pick-n-roll really well, has good lateral quickness to stay in front of the ball-handler and blocks shots really well for a SF.
