Digital Fluency Intensive

I really love any professional learning where you have something that you can take away and use immediately. By 9.30am I had learnt more 'tips' in an hour and a half than I had in probably years… the format of the sessions and the agenda for the day is perfectly balanced and the timetable strictly adhered to.

Lisa Harland - New Windsor School.

The understanding of Google Workspace has helped me build more knowledge and revisit some old ideas. Connecting with people who are all in the same profession and often situations as I work in daily, has been a highlight and has helped me see many things through different lenses. I feel that doing DFI is an integral part of any teachers understanding of what it means to be digitally fluent and is essential in today's world of education.

Perrie Topia - Waitara East School

The deliberate allocation of time and well prepared workshops [on Google Drive, Google Docs] have provided me with time saving approaches and techniques to achieve outcomes that I have struggled to manage in the past.

Scott Walden - Coastal Tāranaki School

Secondary Connects & Department Discussions

The Manaiakalani Secondary Connects have been scheduled once a term since 2020. Guest speakers from across the Manaiakalani network showcase effective strategies to help engage and turbocharge students' learning across the curriculum.

The Manaiakalani Department Discussions are online meetings held via Google Meet with teachers from across the country. The aim is to inspire teachers' practice in high school settings and network with like minded colleagues in their specialist subject area.
