Overview

  • Revue Starlight is a Japanese media franchise created in 2017 by Bushiroad, Nelke Planning and Kinema Citrus.
  • It primarily consists of a series of musicals, debuting between September 22 and 24, 2017 at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo; a 12-episode anime television series directed by Tomohiro Furukawa which aired between July and September 2018; and two animated films, released on August 7, 2020, and June 4, 2021, which abridged and continued the story of the anime.
  • It has received three manga adaptations, all of which began serialization in January 2018.
  • A smartphone game titled Shōjo Kageki Revue Starlight: Re LIVE, developed by Ateam, launched in October 2018.
  • Six years after the game's launch, the game ended service for all servers in September 2024.
  • The franchise tells original and interconnected stories about the training, personal lives, and growth of several groups of female performing arts students, who are distinguished from their peers as “Stage Girls” by their exceptional zeal for stage acting, ambition for stardom, and competitive nature.

Seisho Music Academy

  • Seiran General Art Institute is a fictional school introduced in the sequel stage play, Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight -The LIVE- 2 Transition.
  • Impressed by the performance of Starlight put on at the 100th Seisho Festival, they initiate an “exchange program” with the 99th class of Seisho, which is actually a front for their true intention: to claim Starlight for their own.
  • They are the protagonists of the the spin-off stage play, Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight -The LIVE Seiran- BLUE GLITTER.
  • They officially made their debut in the game Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Re LIVE’s Japanese servers on December 2020.

Koharu Yanagi

  • She is the leader of the Seiran General Art Institute Stage Department Performance Major.
  • She is dubbed “Seiran's genius”, even Maya recognizes her skills.
  • No one knows what she's thinking, but in her heart, she's hiding a calm fighting spirit.
  • As class leader, she feels a burden to represent Seiran and leave a good impression when interacting with the other schools, though this causes her to struggle with balancing the stage alongside other things (usually interpersonal relationships).
  • Her serious attitude also causes her to respond with difficulty to Stage Girls with freer perspectives, becoming flustered with unexpected ad-libs.
