They say that living as an outsider gives you a different perspective on things, but how do the insiders see that outsider? Do they notice them at all? This is something Abdiel wonders every now and then. They’ve been living in hiding for so long that a part of them believes that they’re invisible, almost nonexistent to anyone else, and that may be the case sometimes. At most, the people who do notice Abdiel would think of them as a shy kid, someone who never keeps eye contact and runs away before anyone can approach them. They seem to be afraid of other human beings, and their discomfort will show when it comes to interacting with anyone, but that hasn’t stopped them from fulfilling their duties and their expectations of themselves.

If anyone could take a look at Abdiel’s mind, they would see that while they are indeed an anxious person and someone who would rather stay away from others, they are also a very clever person, full of wonder and curiosity, who wants to soak themselves in the world. Because of this, they are a deeply empathic person, they have a soft nature and will always be affected by the things around them, be it in a good or in a bad way. Their empathy makes it hard for them to deal with some situations from time to time, and this is one of the reasons Abdiel chooses not to talk with people. However, they’ll watch over someone who’s hurting, since nothing brings more joy to them than someone who is strong enough to face hardships, and the satisfaction and happiness that come with overcoming something.

This empathy is not all good, though. Because of the things they’ve been through, as well as the things the creature told them, Abdiel has developed some resentment towards humanity, and sometimes bitterness, apathy and cynicism can take over their usually soft nature. Seeing all the people who get hurt by the same world doesn’t help either. Because of this, they’ve grown to have a somewhat twisted sense of justice, and sometimes the thought that they

should be the one who imparts said justice crosses their mind. They haven’t gotten around to ever do it, but these thoughts have become more present the more they see the world, and with this comes an anger they can’t quite control, a cold kind of rage, that makes them want to systematically tear the world apart.

Still, deep down, they’re a lonely and inexperienced kid, someone who has to learn a lot about the world and about themselves, but who wants to find a place for themselves more than anything. Despite their shyness, Abdiel dreams of the day when they’ll be accepted, the day they’ll be able to give and receive love from someone else other than their father.

I, the miserable and the abandoned, am an abortion, to be spurned at, and kicked, and trampled on.

Abdiel’s birth was a moment highly expected by their family. Their biological family, that is. It would bring happiness not only to their mother, but to their maternal grandparents as well. They would not have to keep their “perfect” daughter’s pregnancy for any longer, and once the child was old enough, they could be sent to a baby farm, and get rid of this mistake that stained the noble family’s pride and history.

The child’s conception was a mistake, or so the grandparents said. Their daughter should not have been meddling with lower class people, much less getting closer to that servant boy she seemed so fond of. Because of this being a small slip to the honour of their family, they risked being against the law and concealed what was going on, forbidding their daughter to get out of the house or to see anyone other than her parents and a physician they had paid a great amount in order to keep things secret.

However, when Abdiel was born, the physician had the awkward task to inform them that the child was born imperfect, for their physiognomy was ambiguous, making them a true hermaphrodite. With these news, the idea of a

...baby farm was abandoned, no one could know that their family had produced such a creature. And so, a couple weeks after their birth, they enlisted one of their servants to take the child to the north, north enough that no human could survive without warmth, and leave it there to die.

Meaning to accomplish this, the servant took Abdiel to the northern part of Europe they could, and chose to leave the child at the entrance of a cave, hoping a wild animal lived there and found a fast way to get the world rid of the child.

“Neither yours nor any man’s death is needed to consummate the series of my being and accomplish that which must be done, but it requires my own.”

There was indeed a creature hiding in that cave. A monster, some may say, a creature that’s hideous to the sight and who had done unimaginable things before. But he was not about to add another crime to his life of sin, not when there was a defenseless, completely innocent baby in front of him. The creature sat in front of the baby for a couple hours, trying to understand the situation, when he realised that leaving this human to die would be the same as murdering them, and so, he took action, and “adopted” the child as his own, to make sure they would not have to live what he lived through.

To the creature, this child was like a second chance, a second chance for him to live when he had planned not to, and to right the wrongs that Victor had done to him, a chance to do things right, and give life instead of taking it away.

This proved to be harder than the creature had thought at first, he was unsure of how to deal with human children, they had needs different to the one he had learnt from adults, they didn’t use words to communicate their thoughts, and they cried too much. Because of this, the creature had to learn from watching both humans and animals while they took care of their offspring, and did his best to imitate them, but even closely following the examples he saw, things were more complicated than ever to the creature. Soon enough, he found himself stealing breastfeeding formula from wet nurses, as well as baby clothes, blankets and sometimes even toys. He still felt bad about stealing from others, but he

...couldn’t leave this child to die, so sometimes he left wood or fruits in exchange for the things he took. But the constant stealing, and the need to be close to humans meant that the life of the creature could often be in danger, so because of that, they spent most of Adbiel’s infancy moving around, in search of new hiding places every so often.

It was like this, in between a cycle of hiding and stealing, that the creature raised his child. And it wasn’t long until the human child began to understand things, and to show curiosity in the world around them. Delighted by this, the creature took pleasure in teaching the child how to speak, and how to interact with and understand the world around them. And when they were old enough, they were allowed to go into the villages to watch humans and be with them, because the creature knew that everyone needs some companionship, and as much as his child provided that for him, maybe it was better for them to be with other humans every now and then.

This, however, backfired for the creature when the child expressed their desires to go to school, the creature couldn’t be seen by anyone, and the child would need an adult to enroll them at any school, and to take responsibility for them. Because of this, the creature had to refuse, but made an effort to get the books that a local school used, and taught the child himself.

“Pa, why do I lack a name?”

The kid asked one day, much to the creature’s horror. He was never given a name, and he had not thought that the child would need one either. However, with this question came more and more questions about the child’s story from before the creature found them. It took the creature years to finally tell them everything, and when Abdiel was 16, they finally managed to piece everything together. The result however, was far from pleasing. It made them bitter and resentful, against their biological family and against humanity, because it was everyone’s fault that their abandonment was allowed.

These feelings grew more when Abdiel asked the creature for his own story, and although reluctant, he let the

child know about his past, how he was created and the things that had happened ever since that and before he found Abdiel.

“Abdiel. That should be your name. It’s fitting, for both of us.” The creature mentioned one day, putting his hopes that the anger in his child would subside one day.

Word about Once Upon a High reached Abdiel, and they made sure to tell their father immediately. It was a school for children whose parents were not normal humans, there should be no problem with it accepting a child of the creature, right? So after weeks of discussion, the creature finally accepted the proposal and enrolled the kid in the school, hoping that it would give them all the things he couldn’t.

Xe isn’t close to xys family, viewing xys chosen family to be more important than anything else. Xe wouldn’t mind living xys whole life alone, as long as he had company, so to speak. Aesthi is far from the sporty type. Xe likes the arts far more, and can spend hours doodling away in xys sketchbook. Some people would take this as an indication that xe is a romantic, but Aesthi is far from that. Aesthi was born to the Loch Ness Monster, but unlike xys sister, xe was given away to xys father full time. Nessie thought that Jordan (Aesthi’s father) would be a good role model for xem, but it turns out that the exact opposite was true.

Jordan was an alcoholic and rarely got home at night before 2am. Aesthi was looked after by a kindly old woman instead, who spun tales that xys father was away fighting crime, like a hero. She shielded Aesthi from the harsh truth for 6 years before xe figured out what was really going on. When Aesthi attempted confronting xys dad (xe was 6yrs old at this time), he was ignored. Xe was smart, and didn’t pester the man much more after that. Aesthi lived with the kind old woman until she died, and it was at this point xe hit rock bottom.

During his more sober hours, sometimes Aesthi’s father would tell xem about Nessie, the beautiful Monster who lived under the waves. At this low time for Aesthi, xe decided to see whether xys father had been telling the truth. Wracked in grief, xe ran into the waves at the beach next to the old woman’s home, quickly realizing that xe could breath under the water. Aesthi swam out deep, confusion bubbling in the back of xys mind as xys limbs changed and lengthened, like those of some sea creature. Screaming xys grief into the depths of the ocean, Aesthi was horrified at the sight that came into view a moment later.

It was Nessie, of course.

She explained everything about herself to xem, and about the existence of a half-sister. Aesthi wasn’t interested in any of this. Xe only wanted to return to the surface and have everything back to the way it should be. Despite xys wishes, nessie kept xem with her for a while, allowing her daughter to dote over xem and show xem affection. She taught Aesthi how to transition between monster and human, and of xys duties in the kingdom now that xe had returned.

stupid kingdom that xe hadn’t even been included in until xe ran away. As soon as xe was allowed, Aesthi returned to the surface and stayed there as much as xe could. Xe made friends over the years and lived quite happily.

Caoimphe visited xem from time to time, trying to form a bond between them. Aesthi wanted nothing to do with her, and made it quite clear every time she visited xem.

The day Nessie allowed Caoimphe to drag Aesthi off to some weird high school was a day xe would never forget. It was the ultimate betrayal. Xe was taken away from xys best friends, xys chosen family, and sent on a long journey with xys half-sister to a place where xe would know no one except for her.

It was a living nightmare, but Aesthi was determined to ditch the b!tch as soon as possible. Xe would never forget xys family at home of course, but there was no harm in having some company at this new dump either. Brooks is very pessimistic and bluntly sarcastic, this is especially true when they feel unjust or people are too full of themselves.They are always feisty or snarky though even when not truly provoked. Brooks is very much a loner and pushes people away with their behavior despite always wanting friends in the back of their mind. They do not easily accept people into their life believing they are too broken to not be alone. They are very stubborn and doesn’t necessarily care about control but simply stand by their ideas strongly. They can be moody which they believe is a great defense to keep people away from them and maintain their loner attitude. Despite being a loner they are also loyal and helpful to the rare few that don’t meet their sharp tongue and bluntly sarcastic remarks first. Brooks was born from a long term secret romance. Poseidon and their mortal mother met in a seaside town while their mother was in college. Then during their long term relationship Brooks was born about a year and a half after the start of the relationship. However after about six months after their birth Poseidon no longer seemed to have much interest in the new little family. This left Brooks and their mother alone. Their mother knew this man was drawn to water so she moved her and her child to the desert state of Nevada. Brooks learned of their father’s true identity when they were around six. He had one newly explained power but living in the desert it didn’t provide them with much access to water. They know that they possess a water healing power but because of their general distance from large bodies of water they are unaware if they possess any other powers from their father. Brooks keeps to themself and back in Nevada that wasn’t much different. Brooks believed that their water healing of both themself and others was common until they were told differently. Brooks grew up in a small trailer in the Nevada desert until their mother fell ill when they were seven and passed soon after. Brooks was never great at making friends because they were somewhat shy as a young child but after their mother’s death they became distant and had an even harder time making friends. After their mother’s death they bounced around to a lot of foster homes but was always considered “not a good fit” for one reason or another.The homes only got worse the more times they were moved around. It was a good thing in some of the foster homes that they could heal themself. In school they were either invisible or a leader for “the wrong” kinds of things. They never had close friends and any friends they did manage to have were short lived for one reason or another. Caspian is an extremely sensitive person. Their feelings are hurt quite easily, by even a single tease, insult, or nitpick. They never say mean things about anyone, especially as this might cause the person to insult them back. They are horrible with comebacks, they’ll just start crying or sniffling without so much as an attempt at a reply. They cry very easily and at almost anything. They’ll cry when something sad is mentioned, if they see someone acting sad, or even if they just feel slightly sad. They know that crying so often and at so small a thing might make people think even less of them, but they can’t help it. Part of this comes from being a water talent, as they are more prone to tears. Even when talking, their eyes are often watery or welling up with tears. They often think the person who they are talking to will not like them, or will judge them, which causes them to be a very anxious person and an overthinking person as well. They don’t like to be judged and hate the idea of change. They like things to stay still and constant.

Caspian is very insecure and does not feel like they are very skilled. They have a deep love for theatre and have always wanted to be an actor. However, they know the only thing that would make them good for the position is their ability to cry at almost any time. They are very afraid of public speaking and doing extravagant things in front of other people, afraid to be judged or to make a mistake. So, they’ve pushed down this interest, opting to watch plays instead of taking a part in them. They do have another interest, which is ballet. They admire the other types of dance, but they are only confident enough to take ballet, which although seems serene and graceful, is a lot of work. Caspian wears their heart on their sleeve, they’re an open book. Everyone can always tell what they’re feeling. People can see their dimples and shiny blue eyes when they’re happy. When Caspian arrived, Rani was intrigued to see they were a water fairy. She quickly took Caspian under her wing. She taught Caspian everything she knew-she watched them take their first steps on water, she watched as Caspian learnt to mold water to her will, and she watched Caspian ride in a canoe for the first time. Rani, although not Caspian’s biological mother, was definitely their parental figure. Rani was well-known as a hero in Pixie Hollow, and had plenty of friends. Still, she was often lonely and felt like she didn’t fit into any group. When Caspian came along, she had someone to spend time with, someone who didn’t make her feel like an outcast. Caspian lived with Rani, who cooked them meals, gave them their own bedroom, and provided for them. Caspian loved Rani with all of their heart.

Caspian felt different from the water talents. The water talents, like Caspian, were also very teary and sensitive people. However, Caspian found themself to be even more of a crier than the average water talent, making them stick out. They often felt shy around the other water talents. ... outgoing, as free. They were never bullied, but they did feel isolated and ignored by the group at times. They wanted to be good at their talent, but hating to be put in the spotlight, they never tried too hard to be the best. They were happy being in the middle, not too far behind, nor too far ahead. Caspian has always wanted friends, but has never had anyone they could call a friend, as they feel like everyone they meet judges them for their personality and wouldn’t want to be their friend.

Caspian loved being a water talent, though-they wouldn’t have it any other way. They fell in love with everything about their talent, from taking care of the water animals to delivering water to the dining hall. They never felt out of place in their talent-they were meant to be a water talent. They only felt out of place community-wise. When they were five, Rani gave them their first canoe and they were allowed to use it by themselves. They’ve never had a fear of the ocean or water, despite being timid of mostly everything. Caspian has always been afraid to get their wings wet or ruined in the water-as they’ve witnessed how difficult it is to live as a fairy without wings. They’ve always been very cautious while working or using their canoe.

Caspian knew they liked all genders, but never pursued any sort of crush-absolutely petrified of rejection. Still, this didn’t stop the tears from flowing when their crush asked out someone who wasn’t them. They’ve only had a few crushes, as it takes them a while to decide they like someone. When Caspian came out as pansexual to Rani, Rani was very accepting. Caspian was so grateful, it was an emotional moment, filled with tears from both. When Caspian came out as non-binary later, telling Rani their preferred pronouns, she was just as accepting and understanding as before (as well as emotional). transportation so Rani doesn’t feel envious or sad. They do their best not to fly or flap their wings around Rani-even though they know Rani just wants them to be happy and does not mind. They feel bad for using their wings, like doing so will make their mother feel worse and they don’t deserve the ability to fly when they could never be as helpful or heroic as their mother. They would do anything for their mother.

When Caspian received the invitation to Once Upon a High, they weren’t sure they wanted to go. Sure, they didn’t really fit into Pixie Hollow. But the idea of a new school full of people they had never met was terrifying. And they didn’t want to leave their mother to be lonely again. Still, Rani was able to convince them to go. “It’s a new experience. They have an amazing dance program and magic programs as well. I’ll be okay. And if you don’t like it, you can come back to Pixie Hollow.” Caspian did like the idea of learning dance at such a prestigious school, as well as improving their magical abilities. They also wanted a break-somewhat of a fresh start from Pixie Hollow. In the end, Caspian agreed. Some of the people they knew from Pixie Hollow were also going to the school, so at least they would know a few of their peers.

Well-meaning but a bit off-putting like his father, Clay tends to be an easygoing person. He’s good-natured and always has a smile to share, dubbing himself as being “awkwardly cute.” While he may appear to be someone shy, he’s typically quite outgoing and enjoys seeing the sights. If he’s not in a library or in class, you might be able to find him exploring the campus.

When it comes to socializing with others, he likes to take an almost motherly, mediator role amongst people. He enjoys looking after others and ensuring a calm environment is settled in, though a bit of ruckus doesn’t bother him much. While he can handle chaos just fine, he does prefer a more peaceful setting to ensure his thoughts don’t get cluttered.

His amiability does make conflict awkward for him, and he often simply tries to brush it away. He isn’t too good at confronting his problems, especially ones he may accidentally start by saying the wrong thing. When one thinks of Wonderland, it can be strange to consider Clay amongst the whimsical crowds and chaotic inhabitants. Despite this, he found himself living quite comfortably with his father and brother. It was a bit of a struggle at times as his humble nature often coincided harshly with the extravagance of Wonderland, but his older brother, Lucius, was there to balance it.

The two were often seen together enjoying the wonders the land provided, with their father trusting them to care for themselves while he was gone. Clay and Lucius played with the other children at times and did their best to explore everything they possibly could. When he wasn’t with Lucius, Clay explored the library in their house, marveling at the floating books and snapping bookmarks. It was a tentative lifestyle that was comfortable enough, but it would soon be shattered.

Lucius disappeared one day, without word or explanation and Clay was heartbroken. His best friend and older brother were gone in one day and he could not understand why. He spent most of his days bottled up in the library, searching for answers and nearly tore through the entire selection available. The White Rabbit was devastated at seeing one son gone and the other broken, so he appealed to some local magic users. Shortly after Lucius disappeared, a mage arrived and cast a spell to soothe Clay’s worries, but it ultimately ended up erasing all memories of Lucius.

He returned to normal quickly after the spell, but found his delighted taste in Wonderland slightly muted. While the strange colors and popping sensations were once lovable, Clay found them more alarming now and overwhelming at times. When the offer to attend Once Upon a High arrived, his father encouraged him to attend, much to his agreement.

You could attempt calling Colm a genius, or a stupidly brave man, but the reality is he is simply an expert gambler. Colm knows exactly when to bet or withdraw, being very good at reading other people, and seeing through even the best ‘poker face’. Colm shares his parent’s abilities, to be able to shapeshift and control water levels. The shapeshifting ability means that Colm is never insecure about their appearance, and rather enjoys showing it off at times.

Colm is an outgoing man, with a magnetic personality. He emanates an invitation to company with every motion and expression, a side effect to his true identity as a Kelpie. Colm resents his parents for abandoning him, but has found comfort in a deep lake close to a beautiful town. Naturally, Colm craves human flesh, but over the years he has become empathetic to the humans, and does his best to resist the temptations.

Luckily for them, Colm is very persuasive; otherwise he may have had to imprison his twin to stop her. Her hunger was so much greater for some reason, but she too had a sympathetic steak, and so they came to an agreement on how to navigate their territory.

Colm’s favourite activity is shapeshifting into some kind of animal and spying on the locals. It was like his own, personal, drama show. Small towns always have the best drama, although at times they do suspect that he is more than he says he is. Colm is a bit of a player, but at the same time he is loyal once a commitment has been made, more or less.

Should someone betray Colm’s trust, they won’t exact revenge immediately. After all, revenge is a dish best served cold. When the victim is least suspecting, that’s when they will strike. Colm is very fond of giving said victims a lovely scare, capturing them in the traditional kelpie manner and dragging them underwater. Colm will then nip them

When it comes to relationships, once it’s official, Colm automatically switches from flirt, to intense romantic. He is especially fond of finding special places, just for them. Gifts are compulsory; at least accepting them is, if you want to be in a relationship with them. Colm is brutally honest; however, he does feel awkward at times when he’s breaking more sensitive news. The part about relationships that he hates is letting his spouse know that he’s poly. Quite often, it turns them against him.

Colm is protective of anyone who he views as vulnerable, emotionally or physically. Younger people and animals especially fall under this list, and if necessary, Colm will take care of them as if her were their parent. Those instincts run strong within him, especially after being abandoned by his own. Colm doesn’t want anyone to have to go through what he and his twin did.

Biography

Following the tradition of faeries disliking their babies, Colm and his twin, Olive, were abandoned in the center of a nearby town shortly after birth. Colm himself doesn’t remember how the hell they survived, but the reality was, both babies were irresistible. It was a common theme among his kind. Even the youngest can survive alone, due to their beauty and innocence attracting humans in droves. This particular town was wary though, especially of these strange babes with their ethereal beauty.

A few took pit on them, wrapping them in blankets and tucking them in a more sheltered spot, rather than out in the open. No family wanted to invite a changeling into their house; however, neither did they want to anger the local fae community. Yes, five year olds are still practically babies, but there was an air of maturity with Colm and Olive that no human could ever possess. They struggled without their parents, and hated them for abandoning them, with no clue of who they were or why people didn’t like or trust them. Through two years of travelling and exploring their identities, Colm slowly figured out how much more he was, not human at all. For one, animals and nature respected him, while true humans always feared him. That might have been due to the fact that he had a serpentine-like tail. All Kelpie did, no matter their form.

One day, Colm watched his sister accidently slap hers on the water of a lake. What happened next was horrifying, but also exhilarating. Colm could never have guessed that they contained so much power. The sound of Olive’s tail hitting the water was similar to that of a thunderclap, and the rush of power that surrounded her caused the water’s levels to rise at least 10 or 20 meters. Many farms on the edge of the water were flooded and destroyed, and hundreds of people were injured. Neither Colm nor Olive really took note of these consequences, merely exhilarated at their findings. However, they were cautious in the future, as the damage to the surrounded nature was high, as was the energy toll on Olive. A few hours after the floods abated, she fainted from exhaustion, not waking for two days after.

Along their travels, Colm also figured out his ability to shapeshift. This brought him great pleasure, and relief from a growing dysphoria, as they could now shape and mold their body into any colour, form and size he wanted. It was a dream come true, so to speak.

Through 10 years of travelling, hunting and figuring out themselves, Colm and Olivia met other kelpies, and eventually figured out how to end their endless hunger. Human flesh was the prize, but animals would satisfy them also. Colm’s morals challenged him here, as he had formed compassion to the poor creatures known as humanity, and didn’t think it fair to end their intricate lives of love and friendship simply to satisfy his hunger. ...and every one of them smelt so intoxicating. However, 10 times harder again was convincing Olive to join his side. Olive’s hunger was ever greater than Colm’s, and she didn’t have the same empathy as he did.

It took time, but eventually Colm persuaded her to stop, for his sake. He didn’t want a man-eating monster for a sister. This statement hurt her, which Colm regretted, but it also was her turning point.

For the past two years of their lives, Colm and Olive have lived at the bottom of a lake near a beautiful town, building their own, personal kingdom. Colm spent much of his time within the town, having fun with some human friends, and taking part in many gambling games. Money was never an issue for them, as their home was rent free, and fish and wildlife were in a very plentiful supply. It was perfect.

When a package arrived, inviting the twins to go to a high school for fairytale characters, Olive was skeptical. She had a great life here and didn’t want to risk losing it. Colm however, leapt for the opportunity of a new adventure, and inevitably persuaded Olive to join him.

Part of the legend is that anyone who takes hold of a kelpie’s bridle will have complete control over them, and the kelpie will be forced to do their bidding. The bridles are seperate to the kelpie, but craftable with the right materials and magic. Due to their youth, both Colm and Oluve are unaware of this condition…

Despite being the child of an entity of light and good, Hadrian takes less after their parents, and more after a snake than anything. While there may be some semblance of purity buried within them, they often use it to their advantage to appear as charming as possible. Their tactic of gaining social status is through feeding into the egos of others, goading them into their arms to gain everyone’s trust. Their manipulative manners make them an unsuspecting traitor to those around them, a fact they use to their advantage as heavily as possible.

They aren’t afraid to drop the facade as they please either, revealing their bladed tongue at the right moment. They wait for the perfect moment to strike and revel in the weakness of others. As their father was once brought low, so too shall they enact the same justice upon the world. Their conniving manners make them an excellent observer of flaws and schemes, allowing them to build a reservoir of weaknesses on everyone. However, it also makes them blind to the strengths and emotions of their fellow peers, paving one striking failure within Hadrian.

With their insincere intellect and observation, one could expect Hadrian is a true monster, but even they have their morals. They refuse to turn to less “civil” tactics, such as torture and blackmail. They just want to see people fall, but not forever. Perhaps it’s a nod to their hidden nature of unicorn heritage or to an innate desire for second chances, not that Hadrian would admit to either one willingly. They may snipe at someone for a mistake or insinuate blame, but they would never reveal any secrets shared with them. They deem it a private matter that may come in use in the future, but civility and respect (for them) is a manner taken with the utmost pride.

The Brave Little Tailor tells the story of a genius tailor who completes a series of challenges using wit. One of those challenges just happened to be catching a unicorn, which would later become Hadrian’s father. Upon being freed from the tree, their father returned to the herd in shame and malice. It was a truly weak feat to be tricked by a human, though the other unicorns gave him no consequence for it. However, the others began to keep their distance in fear that the herd may be discovered entirely.

While their father had begun to grow out of the hatred that scarred his heart, it wasn’t enough. Upon having his first child, the hatred seeped into the child, replacing some of the love and innocence that existed within. When Hadrian was born, the whole herd was shocked, but believed they could be cured in a sense. Hadrian was raised along the other foals, yet a dark presence remained within them. They were always a little too clever and brash than the others.

When an ant bit them on the leg, they destroyed the ant hill with their hooves without remorse. A harsh sentence for a minor consequence that stirred much of the herd away from them and their father. The isolation and distaste for Hadrian drove them further into their darkness, as they longed to belong. Despite how hard they tried, their actions often brought more wrong to the world. The final strike came when Hadrian accidentally injured another foal, nearly killing them in the incident. The herd was able to heal them, but their father had enough and took them into the woods, playing it off as a trip. While Hadrian refuses to reveal what happened, they were ultimately abandoned and trapped in the woods by their father, left to die. Their magic allowed them to escape eventually, running off to create a new life for themself, away from their past.

Hilda grew up in the forests of Iceland, on the edge of a town. Due to living on the edge, Hilda was still able to interact with the other children and make friends, but they are still shy. Hilda never met their father, as their mother did away with him before they were born. Meabh, being the eldest of her Mother’s children, was given the most responsibility. She didn’t want it though. Meabh is wholly independent, preferring to do what they want, rather than what others expect of her. She is most definitely anti-social, but do not mistake this from being averse to company. As long as said company didn’t bother them too much, Meabh was content. She isn’t one for standing up for herself in the moment, but you can be sure that Meabh will always get her revenge. Biography

Born to Clíodna, known as queen of the banshees, Meabh was set from birth to inherit her title. Their father was also a banshee, but only really had relations with Clíodna through hookups and brief relationships. Either way, This meant Meabh was a full-blooded Banshee, as well as the first born. She would contain the most power out of all her future siblings, and inevitably the most responsibility.

The trouble was, Meabh didn’t want this responsibility. They lived alone with Clíodna, but even she was often too much for them. Meabh often sought time alone, fleeing her studies to roam the woods. In time, Clíodna gave up on her, and Meabh was free to do as she wished.

When Neisha was born, both Clíodna and Meabh were in love. The now family of 3 celebrated in the depths of an Irish forest for hours. As Neisha grew older, it was very clear that she was the dominant sibling, but Clíodna still held out hope that Meabh would eventually rise to the occasion of being heir.

Meabh spent a lot of time in the local village, and had befriended many of the village children. Around the age of 5, an adult approached Meabh and asked her where her mother was. When Meabh indicated the forest, the woman grew worried, and spent a long time talking with a gaggle of other mothers. Confused, Meabh continued playing with the other children. The woman approached her later that day, asking her what her mother’s name was.

Meabh answered, “She told me not to tell you.”

At this point the adults of the village must have thought Meabh to be crazy. When she turned six, and began bringing her little sister to visit the village with her, there was a large amount of surprise. Meabh and Neisha were “those

... strange kids you have to be nice to”. Chaos truly erupted when Neisha revealed her true form, wanting to show off to the other children. Luckily, Clíodna had been nearby and resolved the situation, calling the entire thing ‘a dress up’.

As time went on, Meabh visited the village less and less, only really coming to see some of her few friends that lived there. They knew about her being a banshee, something Meabh vowed never to let slip to her mother.

Meabh slowly began submitting to her mother’s wishes around the age of 13. She only allowed her mother to teach her for an hour or two a day and took up archery in her free time. From the age of 2 or three Clíodna had allowed Meabh to learn Irish dancing from observing lessons in the village, and at this point Meabh was extremely good at it. Her true form under her disguise gave her the lightness needed in some parts for it to look truly ethereal, and in the heavier bits Meabh would sometimes perform on a rock, the tapping making beautiful rhythms against her mother’s playing of the flute.

All of this distanced Meabh from Neisha slightly, so she didn’t truly realise the difficulties her sister was having. When Clíodna put the chains on her however, Meabh was horrified. Neisha was a misunderstood girl, clearly, but you should never put chains on your own child. In disgust, Meabh sought out a way to figure out how to remove them, accidently stumbling upon some a package from weird school for fairytale characters of all things. It was the escape they needed. Neisha and Meabh packed their things that very night and flew across the Atlantic, hoping this school would provide the necessary information to free Neisha.

Onyx has many layers built around their personality, each one emerging depending on the person and situation. Their very outer shell is the one they show to the world. If Onyx has no one around them that they know, they withdraw within themselves; refusing to talk or react. If they perceive someone to be threatening them, they may lash out violently, for fear of being hurt. Onyx is fast on their feet, and distrustful of almost everyone. Often when people try to approach them, they will respond sarcastically, rudely or likely not at all. Penetrating this outer shell can be difficult, but directly underneath is a very different person. Onyx has no objection to stealing, lying or manipulating people to get their way. As soon as they view someone as no longer being an immediate threat, their next layer, the deceptive one, is revealed. They will use and manipulate this person as much as they possibly can, depending on what they want. Onyx can feign kindness when needed, compassion even, but it will swiftly turn to anger and scorn if their victim sees through them. Usually, as soon as someone is deemed useless in their eyes, they will view them as nonexistent unless they display danger or threat. Onyx’s third and final main layer is one that very few people have ever penetrated. They throw it behind wall after wall, because once someone enters, they are rarely able to leave without hurting Onyx considerably. At their core, Onyx is fiercely protective, and prone to tease and joke with this person. They become compassionate, and honest, telling the person everything. On their outer two layers, Onyx is cowardly and only focused on self-preservation. Venturing into their core, Onyx will protect anyone in their inner circle before themselves, often purely out of fear that if they don’t, these precious people will inevitably leave.

Onyx’s Mother was Fionnuela, one of the famous children of Lir, who were turned to swans by their jealous stepmother.

Onyx was born at the height of a terrible storm on the Sea of Moyle, their brother having been born 200 years before in Loch Dairbhreach. It was a treacherous night, and both Onyx’s mother and their brother, named Séamus, nearly died. Both Onyx and Séamus were swans at this time, like their mother and uncles. While Onyx’s mother recovered under the care of her brothers, Séamus had protected Onyx from the raging storm. Unfortunately, he was so focused on this that he didn’t realise what was happening until it was too late. The pair drifted away from the others, and by the time Séamus realised; the adults had disappeared. Newborn Onyx and their brother were left floating in the ocean, fighting to not succumb to the waves and drown.

The pair reached the shores of Scotland a day later, sheltering in an abandoned bay until the storm ended. It was at this point Séamus realised that the curse that plagued his mother and uncles didn’t seem to apply to him, or Onyx. They were able to leave the sea’s icy depth and walk on the land freely. Séamus had been told tales of humanity by his mother, and vowed to himself to protect Onyx at all costs, including, inevitably, his life.

A week after his discovery of land, Séamus realised that he could also become human at will. He stole some clothes off of a nearby farmer, and set off into the world with Onyx in his pocket. Séamus and Onyx settled in London after weeks of travel, living off of scraps on the streets. Due to Séamus’s slow aging, brought on by his grandmother’s

...curse, he appeared around the age of 21. His physique and size managed to ward off singular robbers and other homeless people, however the pair were sometime targeted by gangs and the like, looking for new members or simply a chance to get violent without getting in trouble. Onyx switched to their human form at the age of 2, which increased the pair’s attention considerably. Small children were in high demand it seemed, often from perverts or beggars. (The beggars would take the small child and drug them to sleep so as to create a more endearing picture to passing pedestrians. It’s a thing, unfortunately.)

When Onyx was 5, Séamus failed for the first time. A group of thugs had ambushed them, distracting Séamus and stealing Onyx away. Onyx doesn’t remember what happened, only that when Séamus found them, he killed each and every one of their captors.

Unfortunately for Séamus, he failed again a year later. Onyx remembered that time, much to their dismay. More gangs had targeted them over the year, but this one was especially cruel. They killed Séamus right in front of 6yr old Onyx, a moment that would be engraved in their skull forever. Afterwards, They don’t talk about, and avoid the memories at all costs.

Onyx was alone for the next 9 years, discovering their voice, and simultaneously learning the curse of it. The attentions its beauty attracted were reliably unwanted, and so Onyx quickly learnt to simply keep their mouth shut as much as possible.

Over those years, Onyx learnt the power of quiet observation, as well as how to control their own. They decided that it was best to keep to themselves, because the one friend they made abandoned them, and that hurt far too much to risk again. Sometimes Onyx had considered looking for their mother, but they were realistic, and knew that she was most likely dead, or at the very least lost out on the ocean. Onyx didn’t want to risk getting lost too in an attempt at following her.

When Onyx was 15, a strange package appeared beside their makeshift bed in a hole at the end of an alley. Within it was an letter of all things. Séamus had taught them to read before he died, and they filled much of their time devouring stolen books. The letter invited them to some weird school. Onyx was dubious about the school’s purpose, but the promise of food and shelter was too great to ignore. They made a deal with on of the local drug dealers, soon amassing enough money for the journey.

Pin has always been quiet, even before his mother was married off. Pin didn’t like complaining and disliked conversations almost as much. They weren’t against talking to other people - it was simply that every conversation Pin had been in was forced or designed to end a certain way. Not only was Pin quiet, they were brave. They went everywhere they could, exploring every new place they traveled too. They managed to not get in trouble, not only for being the adopted child of the general, but Pin was also very stealthy. Despite their smaller figure, Pin loved dancing. It wasn’t uncommon for them to be seen swaying along to the ballroom music, and even less so for them to be lost in their own head while dancing in the magnificent ballroom late at night. They needed not any music to know the exact tune of what they were dancing too. Even Hein, the man who believed this scrawny child held little to no value, couldn’t deny the skills they had in dancing. Though it was unusual for someone to dance alone, no one could deny that Pin was better alone than with someone else.

After leaving Pin’s twin brother Thuc in the safety and care of her rich husband, Kieu decided to keep Pin. Kieu had stolen some valuables from the estate of which she fled, and found a new friend who sent her to yet another brothel by accident.Pin was only a few years old when this happened but was treated as a slave in the brothel. He manages to escape after his mother marries Tu Hai, the leader of a revolution army and Kieu’s made the Queen of a temporary kingdom that’s destroyed five years later. Pin was around 8 when this happened, followed by the public humiliation of his mother who was rap-d by the man who dismantled their kingdom, Ho Ton Hien.To avoid bad rumors, Hien marries her off to a local official, but decides to keep Pin and raise the young child as his own.

Hien was pleased with Pin’s quiet personality and obedience. As Hien was a general, Pin did a lot of travelling. Despite Hien’s position, he never trained Pin. He thought it would be a waste of time to train the stick figured child. Pin was mainly treated as a glorified assistant who got his own room and was taught English to help him communicate to higher ranked officials.

Pin never expected much, which is why he was so surprised to get his letter from OUH. He accepted, even after some push back from Hien who wanted him to stay - not even as a servant but he wanted to marry Pin off to the daughter of a high ranked officer. Pin declined, which made Hien even angry and barely managed to execute his escape late one night. Pin left an apology letter, but there’s no way of knowing how Hien took it.

One way to explain Raymi is a sense of mischievousness with a flare of camp. As they were made by a concoction made to be the evil child, Raymi grew as a child of devilish actions and cheeky shenanigans. As a child, they were quite a mover as one look-away would result in their disappearance. But as they mature and grow from all experiences, this type of mischievousness is not as strong as it was before. Learning the class in hiding evil when appropriate, with some throws of shade, Raymi tries to adapt to maintaining making them obvious as a caricature villain.

Despite wanting to be taken seriously as a villain, Raymi is in a sense a child at heart in performing devilish acts. Each of their pranks and doings may cause from harmless to detrimental, though it would seem that Raymi prefers detrimental to harmless. As harmless pranks would be transforming people into animals, Raymi is a person who does not like failure. With every failed action and prank, to each of their hot-headedness comes clear. This is not the type of person to control their emotions gracefully. To hide this, Raymi would run far-away and hide, just to scream or throw a temper.

As evident to their uncontrollable anger, Raymi is the one who does not like one mistake and strives for perfection. Down to the clothes that they wear, all must be the epitome of perfection and their desire for an otherworldly flashy style. A simple shirt and pants? Nonsense! Expect them to wear a stylish suit this day and the other day wearing a flouncy gown, sometimes even with big feathers and stylish hats. That is their everyday style, treating the world like it is their runway.

When it comes to interaction, this comes as their weakest point. As intimidating as Raymi is, they use their aura to close off many people as the intimidating or persuasive persona would be a safe bet to seem evil and hide the fact of their weak social experience. When it does come to this, connecting and relating to others may hinder as it may be a reason for Raymi’s lack of engaging in conversation. Despite this, their confidence is prevalent in villainous acts such as shady remarks and compliments to their style. As long as the topic is Raymi, then best sure that the conversation would go on for hours, and that would come off as Raymi’s tendency to be sarcastic, sassy, cocky, and egotistical. But of course, they would speak in a way of flawless diction and grace.

In Raymi’s evil acts, there is something that Yzma does not possess, and that is the sense of passion and compassion when a relationship is formed. Two close examples would be Kacie and Yzma. With Kacie’s case, this was the result of hanging out for years as Raymi realizes their care for her and wanting her to be better. For Yzma, this is automatic, yet this comes in both of their relatability and their closeness in such evil acts. Around them, do they show their more soft and selfless side. As their softer side, despite not leaving the sass, it comes prevalent in their worry for their wellbeing and niceness that Raymi themself would barf at when told of this behavior.

Despite this evil action and their efforts in doing so, some people have claimed it as silly and hilarious. None of them has seen the view of light, kidding, but Raymi would be furious if you do tease and tell that their actions are comedic.

By the time Raymi was of age, Raymi would soon worry for their blemishes and looks as they did notice that the other family members were told of their flaking beauty, even Yzma herself confirmed this story. At the peak of Raymi’s beauty, prevalent by the sudden notice of other commoners to their look, Yzma took time for Raymi as both planned on the potion of eternal beauty. A real potion for eternal beauty. Another success, Yzma made sure that their beauty might not affect them due to them being conceived by the concoction. But confident about their decision, they drank to the last drop as they looked in the mirror for such effects. Though not prevalent, one proof was the disappearance of a blemish through Raymi’s cheeks. Through this transformation, Raymi’s sense of confidence boosted as their wardrobe and cockiness grew bodacious and extravagant.

As they grew a bit older and saw potential in soon fulfilling their mother’s dream, it came as a shock that their mother signed Raymi up to an exclusive school. Far away from their mother, Raymi was enraged with the idea of leaving and going at first, as they saw it useless and caused a bit of strained to their relationship. But with Yzma’s careful explanation of a plan in adapting to new environments and villainous methods, they came into an agreement as much as they disliked the idea. It was comforting to Raymi as they heard of Kacie’s acceptance to Once Upon A High but still was nervous yet bothered about going far away from their hometown.

To much of everyone’s surprise, Raymi was not conceived regularly through the act of procreation, but rather was a creation of alchemy and deep research. Through Yzma and her efforts in making a new generation of disrupting the dynasty Kuzco will manage, she carefully created a concoction in a bowl to create what she might consider her greatest discovery yet. With all the elements of a person who will take over the world, especially the heart of evil, Yzma gleefully created a child she will soon teach on how to overthrow the kingdom and will soon bow down to.

Like their name, after Raymi was conceived, they were celebrated by Yzma’s family for a newer generation of this rule. As Yzma herself declared, this child will bring chaos and wreak havoc as a new dynasty will overtake the previous and beyond. While as a young child, Yzma taught her all the basics in needing to destroy Kuzco and his future. It was especially prevalent on her stress in making potions to potions. Each deadlier than the last.

And despite being a child, Raymi was quite a mischievous one. With the heart of evil splashed in that concoction, even their mother was amazed at their devilish acts of pranks and cheeky antics. As proud as she is, it can also be pretty stressful for a child that may disappear one look away. As Raymi would venture by themself along the forest and such, did Raymi meet such a peculiar woman. Their mother, as warned by other family relatives, was told to never talk to people; especially the ones who are told to be descendants of the reigning royalty and the ones who side by them. Although as harsh as they were, Raymi treated Kacie as a servant at first. Doing all the commands and wishes they say. But as time passed, Raymi then had a soft spot for Kacie as they would hang out and soon enough engage in elaborate pranks and shenanigans.

Robin White lives from one day to the next, not liking to plan or organise anything a day in advantage, let alone a week or a month. Their personal quote that they live their life by, “Live every day like it could be your last.” With this terrible, anti-social curse hanging over them, they had to make themselves more appealing. Make people forget about their animal forms. That’s when they discovered piercings and hair dye, change their style almost as often as their form.

Despite the curse, Robin still has many of their parents’ traits. They’re protective and nurturing, though from afar, and usually anonymously. With not being able to have human contact, Robin doesn’t crave attention. Though they try to have a unique look so people won’t discuss the curse, it doesn’t always work. So Robin prefers to be kind, caring, and gallant from the background, not taking centre stage. Part of being comforting and protective from afar, is they learnt how to be close without contact. All through combat. No matter the weapon, they’re trained with it, even on horseback, one of their favourite past-times. Still, there is just one thing that Robin wants but can’t have, aside from human contact but along the same line. That’s romance, they dream of experiencing it. Not the love side of it, but the physical side. The hot, sticky, sensual side without full-on commitment.

Finally, Snow White and Prince Florian conceived a child, an heir to the throne, their own little baby. Unfortunately for them, the Evil Queen managed to get to their embryo before her death, placing a curse on the baby. A curse that meant that their precious baby would not be able to remain human. Well, that’s not true. Their baby can be human if it is not touched. The Evil Queen knew how loving and nurturing Snow was and so thought up the worst revenge she could for Snow and her Prince; to not be able to have contact with their baby. So every time their baby is touched by a human, they are turned into an animal for three hours. Any animal, it constantly changes, which made breastfeeding a nightmare for poor Snow, and making it a very lonely childhood for their baby.

Can someone be defined if they don’t even know who they are? Temni would argue against it, but sometimes, that not knowing is what builds a person’s character. Since the Walpurgis Night she celebrated at fifteen, Temni has been conflicted and confused about who she is, who she should be, and what she should do about it all.

When someone first meets them, they may seem harsh and come off too strongly. Her silent nature could make her seem cold and unapproachable, or maybe even as someone too proud to talk with others, but in truth, Temni never quite learnt how to interact with humans, so they spend most of the time watching them, trying to understand how socialization and humanity work.

Despite not being so well versed in social rituals, Temni tries to be a social and friendly person, and knows to always show others the best versions of themself. Because of this, and although she’s still new when it comes to human feelings and empathy, they try their best to be nice towards everyone, to show compassion -even if it’s sometimes fake-, and to care for others. However, there’s still a nagging voice in the back of her head, the voice of her father, telling her that this is not how things should be, that they should go back to her old ways, since that’s the quickest way to find pleasure and happiness.

Deep inside, Temni knows that the things she inherited from her father won’t ever go away, not completely, at least, and that doesn’t always allow them to show their best self. In these moments of doubt and weakness, she can become quite harsh and rude, to anyone who tries to help her out. It is very likely that this is a matter of pride to them, a matter of being able to get through things on her own, and although it’s not the healthiest, they need to prove that they’re capable of overcoming their own past, to be better than her father. However, it’s in these moments of loneliness when the thoughts catch up to her, and she feels like there isn’t anything to her other than what her father has done. The perfect little statue he sculpted and then broke unwillingly. When these thoughts come, they find themself thinking about how she has no idea of who she really is, but that’s something she’s also got to fix for herself.

Temni was conceived during one of Chernabog’s celebrations of Walpurgis Night, and the night she was born, her mother -one of the witches who served the god- took the child to Bald Mountain, as an offering for Chernabog, as it was agreed from the moment she knew she was carrying his child. Because the god was the one to give Temni the chance to live, they were forever bound to him, and should serve him as any other devoted servant he had. Only this time, there wasn’t any kind of temporal limits to the bond, like there was with his minions who reunited with him during Walpurgis Night, no, Temni was bound to him forever, and in no way she could refuse serving him.

Taking advantage of the partial humanity of the child, Chernabog then decided that Temni would be an agent of his during the daylight, when neither he nor his minions could do much. And so, the father shaped the kid meticulously, trying to make them into his perfect tool, to help him spread chaos and darkness even during the day. Since she still inherited some of her father’s sensitivity to light, though, she had to stay in the shadows, not that this was a disadvantage for Chernabog in their upbringing. Instead, he taught the young child that she had to spread the darkness in order to thrive, and of course they were meant to thrive, for they were the child of a god.

Temni’s childhood was then spent between the lessons from her father and the occasional visit to her mother, to improve their use of the abilities they had inherited for the god, and the ones they could learn from the witch as well.

This, however, led her to a quite unrealistic perspective on life. When they were not taking lessons, she was allowed to do anything they pleased, anything except going to the village near Bald Mountain, the villagers wouldn’t treat kindly the child of the god that terrorised their homes every year, of course, who would?

When they reached the age of thirteen, and her father decided that they had had enough training, Temni was allowed to join their parents in the celebrations from Walpurgis Night. It was a delight to see her father’s powers work, and she thrived in the pleasure from the night and what they did to the village. From then on, Temni’s life became more lavish, they wanted to feel that pleasure and power again, and she tested her limits in order to reach them. In their attempts, she began learning how to create the music that accompanied those feelings, but it was not enough. Nothing could compare to Walpurgis Night, and she soon learnt to wait for it for the rest of the year, until she was fifteen, that is.

The celebration that took place when she was fifteen introduced Temni to human life, or afterlife, at least. That night, she danced with a lost soul she hadn’t seen before, the soul of a girl about their age, and being in her company made something awaken in Temni’s chest. While they danced, Temni got to learn about who this girl had been, and by the end of the night, she could feel a certain bond forming with this girl. However, things came to an end once Chernabog sent all of the souls he had summoned to the pit of fire, just like he did every year. Wanting to have a sliver of that bond back, Temni waited until morning and snuck to the village’s cemetery, wanting to know who that girl was. But when she got to the tomb, she found people around it, and their feelings of loss that were stronger than anything she ever felt. So she chose to stay hidden until the people left, hearing their cries and laments. And for the first time since they were an infant, Temni felt tears rolling down her cheeks.

After that day, Temni was noticeably less energetic and excited about their day to day life, the thoughts of quitting her studies were constantly plaguing her mind. However, as soon as she expressed any discontempt with how things were, her father took it upon himself to “whip them back into shape”. That is, until she got word of Once Upon

Vic may be able to pass as human in looks, but in terms of emotions and making connections, they have no understanding of how they work. This is due to the mechanics of their build. Being only made partially of human organs and the rest gears or computers, makes they more rationally-minded, logical, and very organised. Vic is a great analyst and processor, as their software processor information three times faster than a human brain would. Though with a lack of empathy and knowledge of how emotion work, they can pretty disingenuous unintentionally when in conversation. It can make them seem very insensitive. They can get frustrated sometimes, when simplifying things to the point of insult as they struggle to ‘dumb it down’. Sometimes their ambition leads them to become rather arrogant.

When Dr Victor Frankenstein’s creature begged him to create a female companion for him, the doctor agreed. Though without telling the creature, the doctor also start making a child as well. However, out of fear of creating a race of monsters, Frankenstein destroys this creation. What happened to the child creation? Did the doctor destroy it as well? No! The child creation remained locked away in a hidden room with all his notes and equipment. Untouched and not alive. Up Frankenstein’s pursuit North to destroy the original creature, he mets an untimely end onboard a friendly ship. Unable to return home again or destroy the creature.

Years and years later, during a time when technology had changed since Dr Frankenstein’s day. A young-ish rugged man, with a mind like no other of his time, found the room in what was now his castle. He read through all the notes and examined the child creature, quickly discovering what he’d stumbled upon. So he made a plan to continue the work of the doctor/scientist he idolised, and it tooks many years and many failed attempts.

Until finally, on the night of the perfect storm, The child creature came to life. He called it Vic, after its original creator, Dr Victor Frankenstein.

Lucky for Vic, the man learnt from the doctor past mistakes. Still having a human heart and looking passable as a human externally, on the inside Vic was made up of levers, gears, and computer parts. Making them a little more robotic than the Creature, this is what made them come alive and be more stable. The problem is that Vic needs to charge, they only seem to last 6-12 hours without plugging in to a socket, depending on how much processing they’ve done.

The man was proud of getting it to work but he was no father figure. That’s why he sent them off to school.

Yu is an overly serious man, so you can’t really joke with him that easily. He never likes to open his mouth unnecessarily, and is usually silent. He is also wary of his surroundings and has a three to five feet minimum distance for any people. He doesn’t want to get near them, or else he might accidentally take their souls away (even though he wears gloves). It might even be because of this that he is very sensitive about people’s presence.

In terms of communication, Yu is more of a listener than a speaker. He just got used to it during guiding through the bridge of afterlife. He usually just crosses his arms, seeming like his uninterested to the speaker—when in fact, he’s just trying to cover his hands. He doesn’t even seem to know what interested and uninterested are, and just goes with anything his gut tells him to do.

Speaking of gut, Yu depends on his guts the most. It’s actually even the reason why he’s where he is right now. When he feels like it, it’s final; and if he doesn’t, it’ll take time for him to decide unless someone else makes a decision for him. You can say he’s a bit indecisive when he’s unsure. He got used to his father telling him what to do, so really, he needs some guidance here.

Yu doesn’t have friends and never did he have even a fake, so don’t get frustrated if he treats you the same way he does to you when you first met him although you’ve known him for more than often. He’s just shy and unsure of what friends are supposed to be like. Often, if walking together with a soul, he will be reminded of his job down there.

He is ignorant of mundane things as a result in living his whole life at the other end of the bridge to afterlife, so he will get things wrong which humans will consider dumb—but truly, he’s not. Yu is a fast-learner and remember everything you teach him.

Yu literally lives beside the bridge to afterlife, waiting for his father to come with harvested souls. He is the one responsible for guiding souls to afterlife… or that’s at least what his father made him do. Ever since he could remember, he has always been sitting there, waiting and doing the same thing every time—walking behind sad and sometimes bloody souls to be sure that they get to where they are supposed to be. It’s boring, yes, but to Yu, it’s an honorable responsibility. He has never seen Earth, since his father reminded him that he might not like it when he’s there. Yu trusted his father, so he never set foot on Earth.

But one time, a talkative soul talked to him about the latter and peaked the lad’s interest. Against his father’s wishes, he escaped the bridge and went to Earth. There, he found out the truth: the Earth was indeed a beautiful place to be in. He even saw his father taking souls with one touch, and he admired how fast he worked. Yu never talked to him, though. He did not want to upset his father. So what he did was he ventured around that particular place.

Yu stalked his father, and even attempted to collect a dying soul. A soul that actually had a chance to live somehow, but he ruined it when he touched that person. The soul of that person separated from the body, and Yu was even happy when he learned he can do what his father can… except that people can see him. He extended his hand to the soul, which gives the family of that soul (that was there the whole time) chills. They thought he was crazy, so they tried to call police. Yu, out of nervousness, touched one of the family but ended up separating the soul from the body. The sudden death of one family member shocked the others, then the clueless Yu mindlessly touched another, doing the same process. Yu’s father suddenly arrived out of nowhere, dragging him and the unfortunate souls to the bridge before afterlife.

His father told him that the Master might get angry of him, and might not like it if he continues relying the souls to him in the bridge. He even told him to go away and learn; thankfully, the Grim Reaper found the perfect place for Yu to learn without him.

Zaharina or “Ina” as she goes by always knew she was a different kind of child, and it was something she embraced as kid. She was a little girl who loved flowers and knew each and every one’s name but she also wasn’t afraid to get dirty and play with her friends at the orphanage. Born and raised in Australia, Zaharina was left in an orphanage when she was just a baby and grew up surrounded by a community of diverse children who were like siblings to her. She from a young age discovered she had chromesthesia and dyslexia. When she turned twelve years old, her mother came to visit her. Xochiquetzal wanted her child to be like her, or rather an ahuianime, outgoing, extroverted, feminine, sexual. The last thing Zaharina ever wanted was to have a gender imposed on her, ever since she was a kid, gender seemed like something she couldn’t identify with. She did feel female, or feminine nor did she want to be classified as male or masculine. She was just Zaharina, no strings attached.

Zaharina’s relationship with her mother became rather strained, her mother pushing on her to become feminine and behave outrageously which was not how Zaharina was interested in being. Each time Xochiquetzal came with gifts, it was also accompanied with how she should be more feminine or be more like this or that. Zaharina got tired of it and when she turned fourteen, she cut off ties with her mother, making it very clear that she had no interest in attempting to seem more feminine or become an ahuianime.

When 15, Zaharina met someone in her school name Quinn. Quinn was one of the few people who understood her and Quinn was able to relate to how Zaharina felt: unable to apply herself to or identify with a certain gender. Zaharina eventually decided she was agender and began to use they/them pronouns. This point onward Zaharina will be mentioned using They/Them to signify their transition between gender. Zahrina decided they would associate themselves with the LGTB+ community as an agendered individual. Needless to say, their mother was far from happy, and was rather disappointed with her daughter’s coming out. Zaharina couldn’t care less and ended up dating Quinn and was doing amazingly with their friend. That’s when the unbelievable happened, when Zaharina and Quinn were driving home from a party they got into a heated argument and then a car, running a red light slammed into theirs and injured Zahriana and killed Quinn when they were both seventeen. At that point Zaharina got into a deep depression over the lost of their dating partner. A little afterwards, after their eighteenth birthday Zaharina received a letter from OUH and accepted, it’s not as if they had anywhere to be anyways.
