Locations

Locations for Sessions and Optional Events

• The Conference will take place at the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center. 1 E Pershing Road, Kansas City, MO 64108
• For those Registered for Pre-conference Workshops on Monday September 22, 2025
• Also held at the Westin
• For those going on an optional tour the Linda Hall Library of Science, Engineering, & Technology and/or of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Miller Nichols Library
• Optional Library Tours 3:00-5:00pm
• Reserve a spot
• Meet at the Linda Hall Library. Cindy Thompson will contact those who registered with more details.
• For those going to the Reception
• Wednesday September 24, 2025
• 6:00pm-8:00pm
• Meet at the Central Library - Helzberg Auditorium and Rooftop Terrace

Room Technology

Room Technology

• Rooms are set up in classroom style
• Conference Sessions: Hard wired PC laptop will be available for use
• For the virtual component, remember to start zoom on the laptop in the room. Anyone in that zoom session can share their screen or run the meeting.
• Pre-Conference Sessions: You can use your own laptop
• Internet provided by the hotel
• Podium
• Microphone
• Small table in front if needed
• As before, presenters will have an OLF zoom link. If you indicated that your session not be recorded, the Planning Committee has taken that into account
• Volunteers will be available to answer questions and help

Presenters and your presentations

• Remember to bring any special supplies that you need for your session (larger note pads or the like)
• Think about having a backup for your presentation
• Have your slides on a USB drive
• If you are sharing printouts with attendees, think about uploading those to Sched
• Or go old school and come with some printouts
• After your session, upload your presentation to Sched
• Remember your presentation time. The standard time is 50 minutes including Q&A. However, there are sessions that are 80 min. or 20 min. We recommend leaving 10 minutes for the standard and longer presentation times and at least 5 minutes for the shorter time.
• There will be an office where you can print materials if you need.
• Volunteers will be making the rounds and can help you with questions.
• If you would like a session moderator, let us know.
