3 Ways Streetsboro Uses Standards/Competencies

  1. All 4 core content areas in K-6 have standards linked to them.
    1. Based on grade bands.
    2. Assignments are linked to standards from which a standard grade is calculated.
    3. All classes have a course grade in addition to standard grades.
    4. Grade 2 example
  2. Behavior grades
    • These are assessed once each marking period.
    • No assignments are involved.
    • Assessment is completed in the Competency Entry Screen.
    • Grade 2 example
  3. Kindergarten Specials
    • Course grades on the Kindergarten report card do not exist.
    • Specials needed standards to report the grade for the course.
    • KG example
