  • Overseas phone numbers / sound of a call centre
  • They called you but ask you to verify details
  • They are strangely chatty without any prior relationship
  • They want you to click on a link or install something
  • They claim to have sent you money and need you to repay it
  • They claim they can’t speak over the phone
  • They ask you to use a new money service
  • They need everything done today

  • Call them back on the number on the official website
  • Don’t give any person details including surname
  • Make your social media profile is private
  • Consult family before any manual transfers
  • Realise phone numbers & email addresses can be faked
