All students take 7 classes

    • 4 CORE Classes: Math, English Lang. Arts, Science, and Social Studies
    • Students may take up to 3 electives per trimester
    • Trimester long electives classes (change at Tri.)
    • Year long core classes (and some year long electives)
    • Access Time (30 min. daily)

Intervention/Support classes are offered in Reading, Writing, and Math and will take the place of an elective class - based on individual student need.

At Oberon, we are committed to using data and student need to drive scheduling and student placement.

Academic Supports

Our goal is for every student to be performing at grade level in CORE classes by the time they enter high school. A Body of Evidence (BOE) will be used to determine student placement.


Reading Interventions: support reading fluency, comprehension, decoding, and metacognition.

Math Interventions: repair misconceptions and build conceptual understanding, problem solving, and basic skills.

  • Visit the site between Jan. 22 – Feb. 8 to enroll for the 2019-20 school year.
  • If you are an incoming or returning student at Oberon Middle next year, remember to let us know via www.enrolljeffco.org.
  • Indicate if your student will be attending his/her neighborhood school or apply for a school or your choice.
  • ALL FAMILIES with students in Jeffco schools will use this new system.
