Schedule Review

• You will have 4 quarters and 2 semesters
• 2 quarters = 1 semester

• You will have elective choices
• You can NOT take an elective class in 8th grade that you already completed in 7th grade (exception performing music and study hall)

• 4 of your 8 classes per day
• Blue / Gold days
• 90 minute classes
• For most subjects
• ELA and Math every day
• One day is 90 minutes
• One day is 45 minutes

• If a student chooses performing music, they will need to choose 6 more quarters of elective classes.

• If performing music is not chosen, students need to choose 8 more quarters of electives. At least one of these choices needs to be an every other day course (either 1 year long EOD, OR 2 semester long EOD).

Next Steps

You need to:

1. Choose which elective courses you would like to take
1. You canNOT take an elective you already took this year
2. Complete the registration form
• If you want to take more than 1 music, talk to Mrs. Wood / Ms. Close
3. Select TWO alternate courses on the back of your sheet
4. Ask your parents to sign the registration form
5. Turn in your registration form to your MATH teacher by Monday, February 3rd. (change from packet)
