Opening Prayer

Almighty God, you have built your church upon the foundation of apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. Grant that the people of this congregation may be joined together as a holy temple, a place where you dwell. Send your Holy Spirit upon us that, guided by your word and strengthened by your sacraments, we may plan and do things that will be for the good of your church and the glory of your name; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen

Other Financial Tidbits

  • We use cash accounting. Once money is received, it is available to spend. If, for example, pledges are received in a prior period, they would show in cash as long as receipts are adequate to pay expenses.
  • We pay all debts each month so that we have a clear financial picture.
  • We would welcome new members to our committee. We, with the council, manage the business of running a church. The finance committee as well as the audit committee are volunteers that ensure processes are followed and safeguards are in place.

Closing of Congregational Meeting

  • Motion to Adjourn

  • Closing Prayer

Grant, O Lord Jesus, that the ears which have heard the voice

of your songs this morning may be closed to the voice of dispute;

that the eyes which have seen your great love may also behold

your blessed hope; that the tongues which have sung your praise

may speak the truth in love; that the feet which have walked in

your courts may walk in the region of light; and that the bodies

which have received your living body may be restored in newness

of life. Glory to you for your inexpressible gift; for you live and reign

with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
