Major Updates from Office of the President

  • Leading Executive Branch meetings, held 1-1s, and supported ECAB in a large capacity to empower all of their projects, advocacy work, and initiatives.
    • When our offices are thriving, we’re all thriving as a association! :)
  • Office of the President Committees are pretty much all set! Excellent brainstorming meetings already!!
  • Led organization and committee assignments for all campus wide committee onboarding (Academic Senate), vetting, and interviewing for ASUCR and non-ASUCR reps
  • Bylaw Changes and Resolution Support
  • Overseeing Fellows Program, attended October 30th fellow meeting to train, empower, answer questions etc.
  • Various statement/resolution support, empowering advocacy work, listening to student communities and other concerns
  • Escalating concerns such as:
    • Atmosphere for researchers, financial aid concern, support for our communities affected by recent events, UTLF, student parent support
  • Connecting and sharing concerns/updates with Dr. Haynes bi-weekly
  • Summer Highlight: Attending and supporting with New Highlander Welcome Event for First Years & Transfers led by Student Life. Meetings with Admin, ECAB, ASPB, Highlander, Student Life, and other campus reps to share resources. HUB Governing Board - supported with nominations, serving as ex-officio, and attended meeting.
  • Represent ASUCR in Campus Finance Committee
  • Associate Justice interview setup, vetting, and overseeing voting of Executive Branch
  • Regular weekly meetings with CALPIRG to plan for event collabs with ASUCR – Canned Food Drive
  • Started COSTO Hall Dropins and seeing how we can support Ethnic and Gender Programs with VPDEI Greene

Event Planning and Implementation Updates

  • Mission Bell Elementary School - community service and engagement! Empowering our community!
  • Tailgate - Empowering Women’s Volleyball (November 9, 3-5pm SRC Breezeway)
    • Setup the location, food permit, ordering pizza; my fellows are leading club organization outreach
    • Personnel, DEI, and Finance supporting with bringing the spirit such as poster making!
  • Global Fair in Planning- Senator Anjana, ASUCR Student Life Committee, Opportunity for all fellows, and more offices are collaborating (Winter)
  • Attended Campus Safety Info Session Tabling Event Invitation from Women’s Resource Center
  • Our team members supported with Día de los Muertos Altar that External led
  • Attended Wednesday ASUCR Tabling Events and Collabs - sharing empowering opportunities and intros with orgs
  • Winter Wonderland Event for Students in Planning
  • Sharing volunteer opportunities through mailing list such as RCOE
  • Next on my radar:
    • ASUCR Website Edits - Coordinating with Personnel Director Hari
    • TAPS Project - Coordinating with VPCIA Barman, Senator Leila, and additional representatives
    • Addressing Anonymous Student Feedback Form Concerns as they come in - escalate concerns to admin
