School Counselors typically meet with students individually. You are able to book an appointment through the FHS website. School Counselors help with schedules and you can speak to them about any troubles you are currently having in school and plans after high school.

Social Workers help provide services that a student needs. They assist students by making them feel comfortable in a school setting. They also provide one on one meetings where you are able to speak about anything you feel comfortable speaking about. They are important to go to when you need help.

The College and Career Center helps students plan their future. Their mission is to provide sources for students. Check out the canvas page they have with a lot of resources.

Main Office

The Library provides students with many books. Students are able to use their I.Ds to check books out and will be loaned for three weeks. They also help a lot with research assignments for classes. The technology department can help with chromebook/password issues as well. They do a lot, so visit!

Support At FHS

The main office helps with attendance. If you are late to school or need to leave early, this is where you should go. They also have bus information. If you are late or absent school, your parents/guardians can email fhsattendance@framingham.k12.ma.us to let the school know. Calls are for emergencies only.

Writing Center - Math Center-ADC tutoring

The Writing Center

One-on-one writing conferences with English teachers. They can help edit and revise any writing from all subject areas, and assist in organization of ideas in writing.

The Math Center

One- to-One help with math assignments,reviewing for test and quizzes, and extra help.

ADC Tutoring

Academic development center is a course for students to receive peer tutoring and learn skills to be successful in high school. Students can speak to their counselor about joining ADC.

If you have 1st lunch during 4th period go straight to the cafe. Lunch is for 30 min. After your lunch, report to your 4th period class for an hour & a half

If you have 3rd lunch report to your 4th period class for 57 minutes. After lunch, you’ll return to class for the remaining 30 mins.

If you have 4th lunch report to your 4th period class. Your teacher will dismiss you during the last 30 mins of class. After lunch, attend your next class.

Breakfast

From 7: 00 AM to 7:25 AM we serve breakfast this includes chocolate-chip and plain muffin, variety or cereal, Milk, fruits and yogurt parfaits. At the high school you're required to get a fruit a (main breakfast).

Lunch

During lunch you have 30 mins to talk, eat, browse on your phone and even get extra work done. All grades whether it is 1st, 2nd , 3rd or 4th get together in the cafeteria for lunch. As you get into 12th grade maintaining good grades can get you privileges which allow you to get get food in other places during your lunch block.

Attendance to school and classes is

very important to make sure you have

a successful 9th grade year.

Freshmen are required to remain in the

building at all times. They are not allowed to leave campus. When you are in 11th and 12th grade, you will be granted privileges to leave school.

Students should have their school IDs on them at all times. They use IDs to check in at the main office and other spaces as needed.

Incoming 9th Grade Students will not be permitted to complete a course override to higher level courses. 8th grade teachers will have a second opportunity to modify their recommendation based on second semester student performance.

Add/Drop Period

  • During the First 7 Day Cycle, students can meet with their counselor to make adjustments to their schedules if the following issues arise:
    • Need a course to fulfil graduation requirements
    • Have a study hall on their schedule and need to schedule a course (fill an unscheduled period)
    • TA/Independent Study
    • Elective adjustments based on priority of requests
  • There are no level changes allowed during Add/Drop

What clubs are at FHS?

FHS offers a wide variety of clubs accessible to all students interested and academically eligible. Here is a picture of the board at FHS that is in front of the library with all the club names for this year.

How Do I Join a Club

To join a club, you would need to do is check out when each club would meet and where through the bulletin board and go to the class that is shown. There is usually a faculty member in charge of each club that you could talk to. You can also follow them on social media to learn more.
