Combined monthly meetings with local presentations. Presenters have been locally sourced as well as from the greater OSGeo community.
Began a recording process of the virtual meetings for future use.
Attendance to meetings on the rise over previous years, especially from outside our local area. Virtual nature of meetings has increased interest and participation, both locally and from afar.
Unfortunately, it has forced more organization to be applied to the process.

Stats: 10 accepted students coordinated with 17 OSGeo Mentors from gvSIG, GRASS GIS, QGIS, MapMint, pgRouting, pygeoapi [1]�
Students submitted code & final mentor evaluations: Aug 24 - Aug 31, 2020�
Mentors submitted final student evaluations: Aug 31 - Sep 7, 2020�
Final Results: All 10 students successfully passed the GSoC 2020 [2]�

GCI 2019/2020 Report

An annual online competition aimed at introducing pre-university students (13-17 years old) to open source projects, development and communities, through short 3-5 hour tasks
3rd year of participating & last year of GCI :-(

Rather staying with GSoC & GSoD

16 community members that contributed 110 tasks from 10+ projects

e.g. istSOS, GRASS GIS, GeoServer, GeoNode, pgRouting, PostGIS, and Leaflet, and also OSGeo and FOSS4G

401 students completed 976 tasks
