When one closes, another one opens is related to the story because he goes through a lot of changes and goes a lot of places.

Evidence 1 (page 43)

He was on his way to the library and he remembered what his mom always said “no matter how bad things look no matter how dark the night when one door closes don't worry another one will open.” This is important because it was motivation. when he was leaving the orphanage, he remembered what his momma said and had a good mindset. His Momma’s words reminded him that there would always be another opportunity and to never give up.

Evidence 2 (page 86)

Bud was trying to to get on the train and the Blue flyer floated back to him and bugs through his suitcase and it didn't get ruined then he realizes. “Maybe someone was trying to tell me something but with me missing the train, and the blue flyer floating back to me. Maybe Deza Malone was right, Maybe i should just stay stay here in flint. This part of the plot was important because it led him to how he found his grandpa and if he hadn't missed the train he maybe wouldn't have ever found his grandpa.
