Keynote: Jackie KraemerThinking Differently About Math: Observations from Top Performing Systems GloballyDescription: Jackie Kraemer, Director of Policy Analysis at the National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE), will share findings from a review of how math is taught differently in systems across the globe with strong performance in mathematics. The review looks at differences in both math content and instruction and how education systems are structured that impact how math is taught. This includes a focus on: math content, curriculum and instruction, personalization of learning, the use of instructional time and how teachers are supported. NCEE is a non-profit based in Washington, DC that has focused for more than 30 years on identifying insights from global benchmarking to inform national, state, and district policy and practice in the United States.
