يوحنا المعمدان ككارز
Saint John The Baptist ..... An Evangelist
و يوحنا هذا كان لباسه من وبر الابل و على حقويه منطقة من جلد و كان طعامه جرادا و عسلا بريا. (مت 3 : 4)
And John himself was clothed in camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey (Mat 3 : 4)

1ـ الناسك The Hermit
لانه ان عشتم حسب الجسد فستموتون و لكن ان كنتم بالروح تميتون اعمال الجسد فستحيون. (رو 8 : 13)
For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live (Rom 8 : 13)

1ـ الناسك The Hermit
اما يسوع فرجع من الاردن ممتلئا من الروح القدس و كان يقتاد بالروح في البرية. (لو 4 : 1)
Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (Luk 4 : 1)

1ـ الناسك The Hermit
بل اقمع جسدي و استعبده حتى بعدما كرزت للاخرين لا اصير انا نفسي مرفوضا (1كو 9 : 27)
But I discipline my body and bring [it] into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified (1Co 9 : 27)

1ـ الناسك The Hermit
و بينما ذهب هذان ابتدا يسوع يقول للجموع عن يوحنا ماذا خرجتم الى البرية لتنظروا اقصبة تحركها الريح. لكن ماذا خرجتم لتنظروا اانسانا لابسا ثيابا ناعمة هوذا الذين يلبسون الثياب الناعمة هم في بيوت الملوك. لكن ماذا خرجتم لتنظروا انبيا نعم اقول لكم و افضل من نبي. (مت 11 : 7 ـ 9)
As they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? "But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft [clothing] are in kings' houses. "But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. (Mat 11: 7- 9)

صوت صارخ في البرية اعدوا طريق الرب اصنعوا سبله مستقيمة. (مر 1 : 3)
"The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the LORD; Make His paths straight' “(Mar 1: 3)

2 ـ الصارخ The proclaimer
كما هو مكتوب في سفر اقوال اشعياء النبي القائل صوت صارخ في البرية اعدوا طريق الرب اصنعوا سبله مستقيمة. كل واد يمتلئ و كل جبل و اكمة ينخفض و تصير المعوجات مستقيمة و الشعاب طرقا سهلة. و يبصر كل بشر خلاص الله.(لو 3 : 4 ـ 6)
As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the LORD; Make His paths straight. Every valley shall be filled And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough ways smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God' (Luk 3 : 4 - 6)

2 ـ الصارخ The proclaimer
كل جبل و اكمة ينخفض
و تصير المعوجات مستقيمة
Every mountain and hill brought low
يوبخ Rebuking
كل وادى يمتلىء
Every valley shall be filled
Encouragingيُشجع
والشعاب طرقاً سهلة
The crooked places shall be made straight

2 ـ الصارخ The proclaimer
يُرشد Directing
فان هذا هو الذي كتب عنه ها انا ارسل امام وجهك ملاكي الذي يهيئ طريقك قدامك. (مت 11 : 10)
"For this is [he] of whom it is written: 'Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You' (Mat 11 : 10)
و انا لم اكن اعرفه لكن ليظهر لاسرائيل لذلك جئت اعمد بالماء. (يو 1 : 31)
"I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water"
(Joh 1 : 31)

3ـ السابق The Forerunner
و لكن يوحنا منعه قائلا انا محتاج ان اعتمد منك و انت تاتي الي. فاجاب يسوع و قال له اسمح الان لانه هكذا يليق بنا ان نكمل كل بر حينئذ سمح له. (مت 3 : 14 ـ 15)
And John [tried to] prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?" But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit [it to be so] now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness" Then he allowed Him.
(Mat 3 : 14 - 15)

4ـ الكاهن ابن الكاهن
The Priest, The Son of the Priest
كان هو السراج الموقد المنير و انتم اردتم ان تبتهجوا بنوره ساعة.
(يو 5 : 35)
"He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light. (Joh 5 : 35)

4ـ الكاهن ابن الكاهن
The Priest, The Son of the Priest
و في تلك الايام جاء يوحنا المعمدان يكرز في برية اليهودية. قائلا توبوا لانه قد اقترب ملكوت السماوات. (مت 3 : 1 ـ 2)
In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!"(Mat 3 : 1 - 2)
و الان قد وضعت الفاس على اصل الشجر فكل شجرة لا تصنع ثمرا جيدا تقطع و تلقى في النار.(مت 3 : 10)
"And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire (Mat 3 : 10)

5 ـ الكارز The Preacher
فاصنعوا اثمارا تليق بالتوبة و لا تبتدئوا تقولون في انفسكم لنا ابراهيم ابا لاني اقول لكم ان الله قادر ان يقيم من هذه الحجارة اولادا لابراهيم. (لو 3 : 8)
"Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as [our] father' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones (Luk 3 : 8)
5 ـ الكارز The Preacher

فاجاب و قال لهم من له ثوبان فليعط من ليس له و من له طعام فليفعل هكذا. (لو 3 : 11)
He answered and said to them, "He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise" (Luk 3 : 11)

من له العروس فهو العريس و اما صديق العريس الذي يقف و يسمعه فيفرح فرحا من اجل صوت العريس اذا فرحي هذا قد كمل.
(يو 3 : 29)
"He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled
(Joh 3 : 29)
6- صديق العريس

انتم انفسكم تشهدون لي اني قلت لست انا المسيح بل اني مرسل امامه. (يو 3 : 28)
"You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, 'I am not the Christ,' but, 'I have been sent before Him' (Joh 3 : 28)
ينبغي أن ذلك يزيد و اني انا انقص.
(يو 3 : 30)
"He must increase, but I [must] decrease
(Joh 3 : 30)
6- صديق العريس
The Friend of The Groom

و قالوا له لماذا يصوم تلاميذ يوحنا كثيرا و يقدمون طلبات و كذلك تلاميذ الفريسيين ايضا و اما تلاميذك فياكلون و يشربون.
(لو 5 : 33)
Then they said to Him, "Why do the disciples of John fast often and make prayers, and likewise those of the Pharisees, but Yours eat and drink?"
(Luk 5 : 33)
7- المُعلم The Teacher

"They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling to one another, saying: 'We played the flute for you, And you did not dance; We mourned to you, And you did not weep'."For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, 'He has a demon'(Luk 7:32 - 33)

لان يوحنا كان يقول لهيرودس لا يحل ان تكون لك امراة اخيك.
(مر 6 : 18)
For John had said to Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife" (Mar 6 : 18)
لان هيرودس كان يهاب يوحنا عالما انه رجل بار و قديس و كان يحفظه و اذ سمعه فعل كثيرا و سمعه بسرور. (مر 6 : 20)
for Herod feared John, knowing that he [was] a just and holy man, and he protected him. And when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly (Mar 6 : 20)

7- المُعلم The Teacher
8ـ الشاهد والشهيد
The Witness & Martyr
و في الغد نظر يوحنا يسوع مقبلا اليه فقال هوذا حمل الله الذي يرفع خطية العالم. (يو 1 : 29)
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (Joh 1 : 29)

و انا قد رايت و شهدت ان هذا هو ابن الله.
(يو 1 : 34)
"And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God" (Joh 1 : 34)
لم يكن هو النور بل ليشهد للنور.
(يو 1 : 8)
He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light (Joh 1 : 8)
