I am a full-time designer at HomeLane and live with my father and my daughter. Being a single mother, there were many things I was worried about. Would I be able to sustain my family financially? Would I be able to give enough time to my family? My first year with HL was challenging as I had to step out to work, leaving behind my then 2-year old with my 76-year old dad and my housemaid. But as time passed by, we all got ourselves tuned in to the system and things started working out both personally and professionally. Soon enough, financial stability was not an issue. The job security that I got from HomeLane is what kept me going the last 4 years. Shea is now 6 years old and knows a lot about HL too as she has been visiting HL for the last 4 years- there were times where I had to get her along for my design/site meetings, and this is exactly one of the reasons I have stuck to HL as I had the flexibility to do so. There are some people in HL who have seen her grow as much as I have seen HL GROW in the last 4 years. Their processes have been made simpler and user-friendly, mostly keeping in mind the DP community. This has helped us tremendously with our customer interactions and as a result lead to closures/conversions of leads, helping us as DP's and the company grow parallelly. It has been a fantastic journey so far and look forward to creating some more memories while I work with the company.

In my designing career spanning more than a decade, the toughest part was to spring back from sabbatical, which I took when my daughter was born. My journey with HomeLane started in the year 2015, and needless to say, it was a bumpy start. I was torn apart between my duties as a mother and professional responsibilities. Thanks to support from the family and friendly work environment, I slowly started to find my pace. HomeLane, through its Flexi-work timings, offered me the much-needed support to get back into the groove. It's been close to four years with HomeLane, and the assistance I get from supporting teams has been inspirational and encouraging. HomeLane's rewarding incentive system has been a big motivator in closing projects. When you are motivated and backed by the right team, you deliver more. I sincerely thank HomeLane for providing career opportunities for working mothers to get back on their feet. I would recommend all working women out there to explore opportunities with HomeLane as the company stands for women empowerment.

I've always been a shutterbug. I guess there's something about looking at things from different perspectives that gets me really curious and excited. It's the same curiosity that led me to choose interior designing as a career. I only had 1 year of work experience when I got selected as a DP at Homelane This motivated me a lot, as I knew they saw potential in me, even though I was a fresher. I had one week of training and was assigned to a showroom after that. I started observing, talking and shadowing the senior DPs, hoping to learn as much as I could from them. Especially in dealing with clients. Initially, I wanted to learn as much as possible before I took on projects, and HL was very supportive in this process. Finally, on Republic Day, thanks to all the preparation, I closed the first order assigned to me. This boosted my confidence and I went on to make 3 more bookings back to back. My performance kept improving day by day. I even got an award for my good performance. The best part is that you don’t need to deal with carpenters or contractors for anything, HL gets you the leads for the projects, and I just took care of the execution. Making it easier for me in every way. Working with HL has been an absolute treat. It's really given me the confidence and assurance to follow this career path. If there are any aspiring interior designers watching this, I highly recommend you to seek an opportunity at HomeLane.
