Each teacher has their own, editable copy of the final project worksheet. Feel free to edit and type in this document as you model for Ss!

This gets a little complicated because you probably did this last class. If most of your students present today were also present last class, you can just invite them to share their writing as a way to practice for their presentations. (You might need to ask them first to hold up their writing and confirm who actually completed it.)

If some or many of your students were absent last class, you may need to do some modeling again:

With Ss looking at their own worksheets, write an answer to the first question for yourself, or invite a student who did finish writing to tell you their answers as a model. Once you’ve modeled the first question, pause. Invite the Ss to answer the questions for themselves (if many haven’t yet). If they seem confused or don’t know what to write, you can prompt them by going back to the conversation you had about ways to help your community. As they are writing, talk to them and ask them to share. This is both a way for you to make sure they understand, and a way for classmates to hear more examples and build confidence that they are on the right track.

Then, model writing your own answer to part B, or use a student answer. Pause and invite the Ss to answer part B themselves. As they are writing, talk to them and ask them to share. Prompt or help Ss as needed.

Finally, model your own answer to part C, or use a student answer. Part C is a good challenge for level 3 students; it might be too much for level 2 students. That’s fine! Probably not all Ss will finish this writing activity in class today, but the most important thing is to get them started and feeling confident about completing for hw.

Go to Google Classroom. Record yourself reading your sentences aloud. If you want to type your sentences too, you can!
