Impact of the experiences studying in Japan
It helped me understand what it means to be an international student and gave me insights into Japanese universities. This experience strengthened my desire to work with Asia and improved my Japanese language proficiency. Now, in my current role, I am responsible for student exchange programs and partnerships with universities in the Asia-Pacific region. Thanks to my background, I can also assist incoming Japanese students at our university in adapting to a new environment.

Message for students who want to study in Japan
Fatima Mirakilova
I’d say go for it — don’t be afraid to apply. Don't doubt and don't be afraid to make mistakes or fail! We are all people and it's okay! If you’re passionate about what you want to study, that will really show in your application. Try to be clear about your goals and how the program fits into them. Also, reach out to former or current students if you have questions — most people are happy to help. And I'm not an exception. And once you’re in Japan, make the most of it and enjoy the beauty and the peacefulness of the country with its safety, marvelous nature and delicious food! The classes, people, and experiences can really help you grow. It’s a great opportunity to learn not only from professors but also from friends all over the world as networking is the bridge towards brilliant career in future.

Massage for students who want to study in Japan
Mariam Bibilashvili
The Japanese government (MEXT) scholarship gave me the opportunity to study, work, and live in Japan - an experience that profoundly shaped both my personal and professional trajectory. In addition to building lifelong friendships with people from around the world, the University of Tsukuba became a true steppingstone in my academic development. It offered a calm and supportive environment, intellectually stimulating classes, and professors who continue to serve as role models and mentors in my career.
