• PLCs are schools and districts in which educators recognize the key to improved learning for students is on-going, job-embedded learning for the adults who serve those students. The three big ideas of a PLC call upon educators to:
• Focus on learning.
• Build a collaborative culture.

Goodbye hugs and kisses outside of building, parents may not walk students to class except for the first 3 days of school.

Parent Drive-through: Students should exit from right side doors. Please have them ready to exit as soon as you pull up to the cone. If you arrive after the gate closes, you must pull to the front to drop off. Side doors lock at 7:30am.

Dismissal Reminders

• First 3 days of school dismissal time is: PK, Kinder & 1 -2:30, 2-5th 2:35.
• Second week and remainder of year all grades: PK, Kinder &1st- 2:40, 2-5th 2:50.
• Students may not be checked out from the front office after 2:15pm.

If your dismissal plans ever need to change, please call the front office or email bhctransportation@leanderisd.org prior to 2pm.

Ways to go Home:

• Parent Drive-Thru: (Preferred) 2:50-3:05pm, enter from Block House Creek Drive, place yellow name card in right window, student enters vehicle on right side (once cars have cleared, any remaining students will be taken to the front office to be picked up)
• Walkers & Bikers (2nd-5th grade only): students exit through the front door to Creek Run or the west side doors to the Kinder bike rack/ Block House Creek Drive
• Daycare: students meet in the front foyer to go to their daycare vehicle
• YMCA: meet in cafeteria
• Families on Feet (Not teacher supervised): students are escorted to the grassy field on the east side to meet their parent (if you are not present to pick up your child by 2:55pm, the student will go to the parent drive-thru area)
• Bus (must qualify): students meet in the gym and are escorted to their bus
• Siblings that walk/bike home together- meet up with siblings in gym to walk or bike home (Kinder & 1st gr may only walk/bike with older siblings)
• In the event of severe/dangerous weather, Families on Feet will automatically be switched to parent drive-thru and parent square sent to notify parents.
