We recommend printing all cards from the template. All instructions and lines may not show up on photocopied cards due to the light colors.

Instructions

1. Color the front of the card. Colored pencil or highlighter work best for the light to shine through.
2. Fold card in half to get a good crease.
3. Unfold card and apply copper tape to all gray paths.
1. Place copper tape from A-B, B-C and C-D. This is your positive path. Copper tape MUST overlap itself at each corner.
2. Place Copper tape from E-F. Copper tape MUST go through the circle for the battery. This is your negative path.
4. Bend the legs of the LED into the shape of an “L” as shown. Lay the LED on the designated spots.
5. Add additional copper tape over the LED legs along the same path as before. Secure the LED by firmly rubbing the tape down in all areas.
6. Roll up a bit of copper tape into a sticky loop and place on the battery circle.
7. Place the battery + side up on the battery circle. Make sure the sticky loop holds the battery in place, and that the battery is aligned with the A-B copper path.
8. Close the card and check your connection. If everything is connected properly the card will light up.

Lilypad Switch Button

Instructions

• Color the front of the card. Colored pencil or highlighter work best for the light to shine through.
• Fold card in half to get a good crease.
• Unfold card and apply copper tape to Negative gray paths.
• Place copper tape from A-B, B-C , C-D, D-E, and E-F. This is your negative path. Copper tape MUST overlap itself at each corner.
• Roll up a bit of copper tape into a sticky loop and place on the battery circle.
• Place the battery + side up on the battery circle. Make sure the sticky loop holds the battery in place.
• Apply copper tape to Positive gray paths
• Place copper tape from G-H. H-I, I-J, J-K, and K-L.
• Leave space for the Lilypad button switch.
• Place copper tape from M-N and N-O, making sure that the copper tape ends on top of the battery.
• Put the Lilypad Switch Button in the designated position and hold down with copper tape on the ends at position L and M.
• Bend the legs of the LEDs into the shape of an “L” as shown. Lay the LEDs on the designated spots.
• Add additional copper tape over the LED legs along the same path as before. Secure the LED by firmly rubbing the tape down in all areas.
• Close the card and press where is says “Press Here”. If everything is connected properly the card will light up.
