2021 “achievements”

  • Collecting offers from companies to develop CO2 emissions calculation tool for events.
  • Work with our partner “WeTrack” on creating a reporting tool for the events’ sustainability certification system.
  • Used Edmonton/Leeds as case studies for validation and fine tuning of the �certification process.
  • In contact with a Sustainability Management School in Switzerland for �possible internship programme.
  • Participation to the working group #2 - Climate Action of the �Sport for Climate Action initiative.

2021 “achievements”

  • Event’s sustainability will be introduced in the education programme of our �Level 3 official as of November this year.
  • In the agenda on the Technical Education Advisory Group for their meeting in �January 2022 to determine the education initiatives to be included in all level of the �Technical Official education seminars.
  • Included sustainability as key bid criteria with different level of certification �depending on the event in all the bid documents.
  • Country/regional clusters in establishing the event calendar to minimise athletes’ travel.

Goals and Key Actions for the future

  • Comply with our commitment to Sport for Climate Action framework:
    • Reduce GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 at the latest.
    • Reach net zero GHG emissions by 2050
  • Inclusion of recommendations into �Strategic Plan and determine sustainability as one of the organization's’ main goals.
  • Complete the process of the organization’s CO2 emissions calculations and report them.
