What is it?

With the help of EchoAR, I have made a platform that made purchasing furniture much easier. Instead of having to drive all the way to the store during a pandemic, I have created a 3D version of being able to see the products from the safety and comfort of your home.

What the point?

This Tool will help to take the guessing out of purchasing furniture?

  • How big is the product?
  • What does it look like in my house?
  • Will it look good with the rest of my furniture?

These questions are answered with the 3D platform that I have created.

Instructions for Use

  • Go to the website
  • You will have to use your smartphone as you will be needing a camera to scan all of the products.
  • Each product name will be hyperlinked to a unique AR platform
  • Follow the directions on your phone

Obstacles:

Server Crashes:

Every few reloads, the Website would read “ Internal Server Error”

Solution:

Just waiting for a few minutes fixed the problem but it did cause a bit of delay

IOS Mobile app not working

In the introductory video, it is stated that the app can accompany the website, but in reality we couldn't get the app to work

Solution:

Instead of using the App, we decided to just use the website

Future Plans:

We plan to better the image recognition of the software, we plan to make the website less prone to crashing, and lastly, we plan to expand this idea and reach out to large furniture companies.
