Community Service Letter Application Example

Please indicate the community problem or issue you would like to address: PovertyWhy do you want to address this issue? There are people in the world who suffer every day from poverty and hunger. These are issues which I don’t have to personally experience, but I am sad that others experience them. It seems unfair that people should go without basic necessities like food, clothes, and shelter. I want to address this issue in my own community.

Community Service Letter Application Example Cont.

What are some of the ways you will learn more about this issue? I hope to learn about this issue by helping people who are living in poverty in my home state. What do you think you will do to address this issue? I will be helping the Main Street Sisters, which is a group of Catholic nuns in Louisburg. They provide food and childcare to kids living in poverty. I will be helping with their summer program, where kids eat, play, and do crafts.
