Definition of translation
Translation is the process of decoding a message from a source language (the language in which the original text is written) into a target language (the language into which the original text is translated). Although this process may seem simple, the truth is that a translator's job turns out to be much more complex than that. The translator not only needs to master the spelling and speech of the two languages they want to translate, but also the culture that affects them. In addition, the translator must have knowledge of the idiomatic expressions used within those languages, as well as knowledge of the technical procedures used in translation.
