SSL certificate in production expired #1844

  • The Certificate expired 2024-08-30.
  • We were notified by Alexander on 2024-09-11, when emailed us.
  • Bonnie replied via email, letting him know we created the issue
  • John checked Azure, and sent an email to Alexander and Lon, letting them know only ITAs can fix
  • Alexander will open a ticket with ITA to figure out how to prevent people from using the insecure URL, and to get the current
  • 2024-09-17: John to figure out if Azure has a notification that we could subscribe to if the Certificate expires again. Ans: Here is a link to an explanation of ways to get notifications about certificate expiration.
  • Alexander to update us once he has talked to ITA
  • Issue #904 documents the events around ITA creating the original certificate. The cert may have been created by Timothy Lopez (timothy.lopez@lacity.org)
  • 2024-10-01: Alexander will email Michelle and update us on the process and the steps from our end.

Identified a potential need to include links that connect users to the improvement strategies outlined in the TDM ordinance

  • Could include as links in the tooltips or on the FAQ page
  • See image in issue
  • Discuss options for adding it to site in the future
    • Future user testing can determine amount of user Interest in this feature

Presented to Alexander Wikstrom 2024-10-01. Emily was not present.

Follow-Up Notes: Create an issue for a new feature where LADOT could edit the tooltips. Alexander said they will likely update the tooltips and the strategies every year. Designs are needed for future developers

Follow-Up Notes: We move forward with the right design .On this design we need to have all the selected items jump up to the top after we reopen the filter window.

When we click sort it applies the sort but for filtering we need to click on apply

2. Sort: Stable sort like google sheets or the way it is to only filter ONE column.
